Those that post on these boards are just a small minority of those that watch and purchase from QVC. Those that post the same old same old complaints are just a small minority of those that post on these boards and those with the complaints probably do not purchase much, never have purchased much and probably never will purchase much even if QVC meets their specific demands!!
I go into B & M stores and see the same merchandise with little or no change in variety and if you go to the same store every day you will be just as bored with the offerings!! With QVC there is way more merchandise than any B & M stores available to purchase any day and all day!!!

What is the reason for this----I don't know, nor do I care.
I was once an avid viewer & shopper w/QVC---not anymore. The fact is I seldom do a "drive thru" Q check during commercial program breaks of shows I'm watching b/c everytime I do; all I see is something same old, same old.
QVC "cheerleaders" save yourself time, don't respond the boring mantra "QVC is not there to entertain people, it is there to sell. JMO, when the show hosts state that QVC is available in 90+ million homes, the show hosts state that 10,000, 50,000, even 100,000, were ordered. I say so what. That amount ordered is really a fraction amount given when considering how many millions of people can be watching or ordering.
Oh but Sylanne QVC is there to entertain us, it is evident in the dancing and singing going on. It is evident in the models and host's shouting someone PLEASE order this for me, it is evident in the made up words, it is evident when the host and vendor share inside jokes and laugh and laugh and laugh.
I channel surf during commercials just for the entertainment value and hope that just maybe there will be something that I actually want to purchase amongst all of the maze of silliness going on.

Oy, talk about the same old song some like to put out there...
Those posting might be a small percentage of shoppers, but you never know how many their opinions represent... Speaking of wrong, by the way, I have shopped plenty with this company and continue to do so WHEN they offer something I want. I have no idea what B/M stores you frequent, but the ones I go to add new merchandise regularly. And incidentally, no one is saying QVC should be all new all the time, the common theme here is that the programming and product mix is boring and repetitive. They can offer whatever they want to offer, but they sorely need to up the ante... Take a good long look at the number of brands and vendors that are no longer here and you'll see there hasn't been much brought in to replace them... Instead, QVC just continues to program the same handful of brands. If that works for you, fine, but it clearly isn't working for everyone and so some of us are using this form, as is appropriate, to say so...

From a marketing perspective, for every 1 person who complains, there are a certain number who feel the same way but never say anything; they just go away as customers. I've read various numbers, such as 29. So, if I complain about something, there are 29 other customers with the same complaint who won't say anything. I am sure that Q's marketing staff has those numbers down to a science.
The other thing is that I am sure their marketers cringe every time they see someone say to turn the channel. LOL. I know that I would feel that way.
I completely agree with you, StevieB. QVC has done a good job of losing my business and they had to work at it. I still buy things, but not like I used to and I can see myself buying less and less in the future.

For every poster here that doesn't feel the way the complainers do and there appears to be many more of them probably similar numbers can be used which would still make the complainers a small minority!!! I know so many in my area that buy even more from QVC than I do so I'm sure my area is not just an exception!! I see so many Q packages on porches and my UPS man as well as the mailman say they deliver many more Q packages than any other retailer - even Amazon!! Can't see where the loss of some complainers' business has hurt them any!!!

Oh but Cosmic, we're just complainers and we best keep in mind that at least one poster has seen and heard that her neighbors order more from QVC than we ever would anyway... Therefore, you see, we have no right to an opinion...

Since all of the neighbors in one neighborhood are buying so much from QVC then our "complaining" must not be working so I would think it would be OK to continue Since our opinion has no bearing on the purchasing in one neighborhood. Round and round I go

QVC's financials from the last couple years and the resignation of the CEO of QVC USA speaks volumes, and echos and confirms comments made by many of the QVC customers who are watching and buying less......numbers never lie...well most of the time...

Tsk tsk, now you people, you complainers, simply MUST understand that QVC is a business. They are not here to garner your support, approval or loyalty. They're here to foist out the same ten brands every chance they get. It makes perfect sense. It must, they do it, after all.... They KNOW what they're doing, right? Right... and if YOU don't like it, then YOU are the problem. I mean really, WHY is that simple philosophy (no bowl of suds, I promise...) so hard to fathom? Geesh! Get with the program! Buy a Dull, er Dell, buy a Vitamix (or two...), buy a Keurig, buy a mattress, for heaven's sake buy a new vacuum for every room in the house, and stop whining. What is WRONG with you people? This is GREAT stuff here!
