And, yes, other companies do raise prices after a sale! Ever try to buy a sale item at 2:15 when the sale ended at 2 o'clock or stand in a massive line when just before the sale was coming to an end and the shoppers knew the price would be high if they stopped to buy a Coke? Been there, but just once and now I toss their circulars for that kind of gimmick. Just not for me.
We all know retailers have sales, where regular prices are reduced for a certain period, but I've never known another retailer who increases the price once an item has gone on clearance. The only price change I've seen with other retailers on clearance items is a further reduction.
With QVC, I've absolutely seen some items sold as "clearance" which then went back up to a higher price - often still marked as "clearance". And to me that makes absolutely no sense.
