I personally think its SO silly to begrudge others (new customers) who get free shipping. Its a promotion! Be happy for those getting it. What is this? 6th grade in the cafeteria with a clique of mean girls? LOL

@Goldengate8361   I don't agree. This is not considered a clique in the cafeteria. It's many thousands of customers that have purchased for many years and now thrown aside for anyone willing to sign up as a new buyer.

I'm strong in beliving in principles and loyalty.

As a long-time Q customer myself it kinda ticks me off too. So have they said any more about what us "old customers" may get?

@KKJ    A committee is trying to dream up something really, really special.  Would you be wowed by six Easy Pays?

@Kachina624   Six easy pays is a perk already offered sometimes to reel us in. It would still have a shiping charge.

@BalletBabe  I just replied with a rather lengthy explanation and got notified it was marked as spam? I have no clue why that would be, so I will try and answer you again due to all this confusion.

This is what this new offer says when you type in "coupon" in the search bar:

New Customers Get Free Shipping thru 1/31/23*

Start with code FREESHIP on your 1st order & get a new code via email for Free Shipping thru 1/31/23.

Create an account today to get more special offers & sneak peeks at upcoming events delivered to your inbox.

Notice the asterisk. When you scroll down the page and click on "read more", this comes up:

*FREESHIP promo code may be used toward your first purchase from QVC and applied using standard checkout at QVC.com. First purchase must be placed by 12/31/22 in order to receive a code via email for Free Shipping on future purchases (up to a maximum of 15) through 1/31/23. A valid email address is required in order to receive the code. This promo code may be used for merchandise only, excluding gift card purchases. This promo code may not be redeemed for cash and may not be used as payment on your QCard® account. This promo code is not valid at any QVC retail location and cannot be applied using Speed Buy® functionality. The promo code is not transferable. Limit of one promo code per transaction. Cannot be reused for cancelled or returned orders. This promo code is only available for a limited time and ends on 12/31/22 at 11:59pm ET. Applies to standard shipping only. Free standard shipping offer excludes items with shipping included. Free standard shipping only applies to the first shipment of most Auto-Delivery orders. Applies to orders shipped within the Continental U.S. only. QVC reserves the right to change or discontinue this program at any time, without prior notification. If any provision of these terms shall be unlawful or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from the terms and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provisions of the terms. Other restrictions may apply.

So it is a maximum of 15 purchases with standard s & h. That makes the offer $52.50 (using 15 purchases with $3.50 s&h each) instead of an unlimited number of purchases the Q is out s & h charges. I have seen offers for $60 if we open a Q Card, so this is more in line with that most likely.

I am definitely not saying it is right, I just questioned why hosts were saying unlimited for 3.5 months. I thought it was odd the Q would open themselves up to losing an unlimited amount of shipping fees.

Hope this helps a bit lol. It irks me too but at least I now know it isn't unlimited.

I agree, but the thing that gets me is the return shipping of 6.95 and 8.95 plus the original shipping that gets deducted from the return.

I see the outrage over the free shipping for new Customers.   What I find odd is that they are doing nothing about it.   This is the worst promotion I have seen any company ever do.  Giving free shipping once, twice, or 3 times is one thing.  Giving it for 31/2 months is beyond ridiculous.  I have 2 orders on the way and I will ship both back if nothing is done for us.   I have been here since say one.  Many of us are on fixed incomes and are hurting with this Recession, but only new customers get help??  Sorry QVC you should be ashamed of yourselves.

BalletBabe, I couldn't agree with you more.  When I heard them announce that, I was like, "Are you kidding me??!  What about us that have been shopping with you since 1991?  WTH do WE GET??!

Obviously nothing but the 5 easy pays.  Give me an effing break.  Disgraceful!

With very few exceptions...WE ARE ALL ON A FIXED INCOME!

SS is getting a raise, I am not....haven't had one since the shutdown, but I am blessed my company is still functioning!

My income doesn't change just cuz I am working!  It is just as fixed as anyone elses!

This promo doesn't bother me.....wish they would do something for us, but I clearly see the need to get NEW customers!  This recession is hitting ALL businesses hard.

I see so many posts by many, including me...that we are NOT buying anymore...so don't you think they need to do something to encourage new customers?

I am certainly not going to lose money by returning things just for the principle of it!

I think that is foolish.  Don't order anything new if the promo is that upsetting, but IMHO, DUMB to waste my money on a return for something I must have wanted.

@BalletBabe    Have you noticed the new announcement the host makes after announcing free shipping?  Shell say something like, "Old customers, we're going to have something really special for you too."

I bet meetings we're held hot and heavy at QVC yesterday trying to compensate for this travesty.

Thanks @Kachina624

I don't watch much (just shop online) and I did NOT hear that caveat at the end they are now saying.

LOL...thanks Shanus.  Sorry for getting all worked up.  For those of us who have been shopping the Q for many years, I think it would be in Q's best interest to show their loyal customers some respect, too.

Thanks for the hearts!!  Smiley HappySmiley Happy
