The post office told me that they always get invalid when scanning and can't give a receipt but just copied the barcode # and said it could be tracked with that and they were right you can track the package.

If you are returning jewelry, you can get faster shipping for less money at USPS.com. I print and pay for priority mail online and get a free delivery confirmation and tracking along the way (click the box that says you want tracking) for less than the label. It also arrives at Q in 2-3 business days.

There is nothing invalid about the barcode. It's just that these Smart Labels are not USPS. The company that QVC uses will pick up the packages from USPS.

I would think that as long as the address on the label was right, they would send it back to QVC. I haven't returned anything in a while, but I remember it used to have QVC's address above the bar label. They would just have to deliver it the old fashioned way. But if it got lost, you'd be out of luck. However, most packages should be okay.

My post office will not give me a receipt either.
Also, I'd like to know how anyone is getting things shipped back more cheaply than using the return labels.
Last week I was shipping something back that weighed 2.3 ounces. I went to USPS.com to do Click N Ship. The cheapest available method was $7.06. The return label was $6.99.
I think when people post that it's so much cheaper, they aren't getting any kind of delivery confirmation or anything with their package.

I returned 2 items to QVC yesterday after work using their return label and my packages were scanned and I was given a receipt for each item.

This would cost me $18 on USPS. I used a $6.95 Q return label and was done with it.My post office will not give me a receipt either.

I send mine back USPS Priority Mail. It is no more expensive than QVC's return labels. I immediately receive a tracking number and it arrives at QVC within 2 business days. Therefore I receive my refund faster.
