QVC no longer has the Value for me ........ I've been a member since Day 1 and find no reason to pay the higher prices + s/h, especially in Fashion.

I buy all my clothing now in B&M stores ..... equal quality, if not better, and not nearly as costly .....

I used to buy a lot of D&C, but, even this line, has gotten out of hand.

I understand the need for those not able to get to stores, but, for me, it's no longer  'a Value'!

Re: I'm Sorry But ...........

[ Edited ]

I wish I could disagree, but . . ..  DH has even questioned me (and rightly so) about why I am willing to pay $$ to ship someting to me to try on, and then pay additional $$ to return it if it doesn't fit.  We have some very nice stores near our home, and I can go there and try on as much as I like free. Then if I find something I want, I just bring it home. No need for S&H  $$.

I do understand that not everyone is able to go out shopping, and that some who are able are too distant for it to be sensible.  But for me, the answer is to shop the B&M stores nearby.  Every article of clothing I've bought lately from QVC doesn't fit.   Sizes aren't always right at the B&M stores, but there's no money involved in S&H fees.

Why didn't you try on the clothes first? confused.gif

I agree you can get a better value shopping at storefronts, but that's not what the shopping channels are all about. QVC definitely offers values on some of the items they sell, but clothing isn't one of them.

I agree about the cost of the clothes. QVC is getting too expensive. I've been watching and buying since they were CVN and I'm going to have to stop. I have been disappointed in so many of my purchases in the past year and I'm tired of paying the return shipping.

I find that if you are large busted, have a big waist/stomach

you are hard to fit and take a big chance ordering from shopping channels or online...even when I had success with a particular item in clothing, and ordered more,  it didn't fit, or the material wasn't the same...it's a pain to get out there (parking, searching racks endlessly, trying on, exhausting) and then finding nothing as well.  Win/lose with both options, but at least not another trip to post ofc., and paying for return shipping...

Re: I'm Sorry But ...........

My sister is not a big Q shopper. She told me that she was shocked at the cost of shipping and double shocked at the cost of returning an item. She, like many of us, is questioning the VALUE in the Q.  Even if you consolidate multiple items, scrunch them into a self mailed box, you will still pay a lot for returns.

I've said nothin' new here just venting a little!

Re: I'm Sorry But ...........

I think that the Q has some lovely unique items but I shy away from anything that I might need to return since the shipping costs can get out of hand.  I enjoy seeing trends, getting in on new products and uses as well as unique items.  I wish to emphasize, however, that the pleasure and convenience of B/M stores might be a thing of the past if we don't utilize them more.  Some great shopping centers and stores are having to close their doors after being a center of communities for so long due to on line shopping and outlet malls.  I realize that online is a necessity for many and do not want to talk down to those that habitually use this needed service, but I want to encourage others to take advantage of feeling, touching comparing, trying on while we still have that luxury.  Seeing these malls try to stay open for consumers while maintaining stock, service, and conveniences is painful and I dread the day when I have to deal with added traffic and congestion to get those services.  thanks for listening since this has been on my mind a lot.......
