I'm on an iPad and even if I just click on another tab and then come back to the forums I have to sign in again.  Is that normal?  Thank you!

@Lady Elaine, When I sign in with my iPad 3 (iOS 9.2.1)  I don't get signed out even if I switch to another tab or close the QVC tab.   I notice my sign-in remains for hours at a time.    If I leave Safari and close all the apps running in background ("multitasking"), however, I will have to login again when returning to Safari and QVC.    Is your multitasking working?  (I think if the "General" setting "Gestures" is off, multitasking also stops.)   Which iPad are you using, and is the iOS up-to-date?

(eta:  I also have "Background App Refresh" turned off.  Not sure if any of these are causing your problem, but I'm trying to figure it out.Smiley)

Re: I keep getting signed out

Thank you, @dooBdoo!  You are brilliant!  I had my background app refresh turned on but now that I turned it off its letting me stay signed in!  And my pages are loading faster as well!  I did have the gestures on and my iOS is up to date.  I have the dinosaur of iPads btw.  First generation iPad mini!  Lol. Thanks again, are you are techie??

Thanks, @Lady Elaine!   I'm not "brilliant," just a fairly good (or lucky!) detective sometimes.   I'm a techie, having spent nearly all my career in IT managment/support/andwhateverelsewasrequiredSmiley in the medical arena.    I'm so happy we found the reason for the log-outs!

Lol!  Well I think you're brilliant and nice.  Wish all IT specialists were like you!

Sometimes I don't bother posting here because "oh, shoot, I'm logged out again" apathy sets in. So glad that you could help me!

This is another "new" thing for me as well. I do not use Safari (over my dead body), I use Chrome.  My Background App Refresh is always off so that's not it for me. And if I turn off Gestures, my iPad does not work as Nature intended :-( I don't want to have to use the Home button for everything. I had it Off by accident once and it made me crazy.

I will have to experiment in that I usually make sure my programs are actually "closed" on my iPad. I suspect when I don't close them but just flip them off (haha) maybe that triggers a sign-out.
