Shop LC!!!!!!!! So on my FB page an ad popped up from Shop LC, it was for a strand of ( so called ) Akoya pearls for $150.00, "WOW", I thought, this is a great deal! So off I go to the website to order this treasure, but first I looked for any kind of coupon or promo code, which I found for 25% off. So I ordered this strand of Akoya pearls and was excited to get them because they are so beautiful....buuuuuuut, when they finally came almost 2 weeks later, they arrived in a regular plastic popper bag without even being in a box to protect them, they were just in a pretty silky bag which subjected them to being crushed during shipment. When I open the pretty bag and took the strand out, I was shocked to see how bad these "pearls" were, they had so many dings and the drill holes were horrible. The coating was coming off some of the "pearls" so bad that I doubt these are even real pearls. Now I know good jewelry and jewelry in general because I have been a collector of jewelry for over 50 years, these "pearls" were nothing but 9mm plastic beads with an irridescent fake coating!!! I had noticed that there was no return label, and the invoice said that clearance items aren't returnable, the problem is that the order page never said it was a clearance item or non returnable. So the next day I called the 800 number which is centered in Jaipur India....( scam capital of the world where most of the scam calls come from ). So I explained the situation to the "call center guy", he said that he understood and would send me a return label, well that was 3 weeks ago and it still isn't here, and I guess it well never be here....So I'm chalking this up to experience as a loss, but let me tell you I will NEVER order from this company again, it was the first time and the last time!!! Has anyone else had a bad experience with this shopping channel before?

Well I've never ordered from this "company" but I am sorry you were the victim of this scammer.
With each mishap, we come more suspicious of the world in general and that is also a sad part of this miserable mishap.
Stay safe.

It would be my guess it never was Shop LC. I would have ordered directly from their website. I would never think a pop up on Facebook was legit. There are a lot of scammers and you have to be careful. Have you called Shop.LC to check if that was even their item that was offered? You are correct in thinking you were scammed but it was from.someone else.

The old adage: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't."
I am another who would never buy anything from these pop-up ads. On any site!
@NjsKillingme - Did you pay by credit card? If so, you may be able to reclaim the amount through them, by disputing the transaction.

I have only responded once to a FB ad and it was for a coupon for a new grocery product. Pretty much, I think most of these advertisements are scams.

It used to be called the "Liquidation Channel", Chuck Clemency from Shop HQ works there now.

I did go to their website, but after I researched the company, I saw where the headquarters is...jaipur...these are the scam centers that call you and ask about your Medicare or say they are from Amazon..etc. Go to YouTube and pull up a page called "Scammer Payback"...this guy digs deep into the rabbit hole of scammers.

@Flatbush I don't want to scare you, but clicking on any ad is dangerous on face book. I would highly suggest changing your passwords. If you do not have a VPN on your computer then definitly change your password to Face Book and the card that you used to make the purchase.

contact your credit card as you describe damaged goods .
go back and file claim through Post Office as damaged good
Doubt it was actually SHOPLC who you ordered from

Don't give up yet @NjsKillingme . Call back for the return receipt. Tell them you never received it. Then, if you still don't receive it, dispute it with your credit card company. Good luck.
