"QVC is a retail company, not a social site so their bottom line is profit and they will do what they have to do to make that profit."
If it is a retail company and not a social site then they should stop with the "we are a big happy family" method of selling products. Stop having the hosts sharing all of their family experiences and chummy attitudes with each other. I have always said that QVC is promoting a lifestyle trying to make it appear that the people buying their products are part of a big happy family which in reality they are far from being a family.

@MoJoV wrote:I agree with your basic premise: the bottom line is what it's all about here. But this board has influenced me to buy things from the Q. Beauty products especially. And as for the complaints here...well they never paid any attention to those anyway. So many companies ask for feedback after a customer makes a purchase. This board provides that here. It's very easy to separate the personal, ignorant complaints from the legitimate ones. The Q just isn't interested. So...neither am I.
Feedback can be given in the item reviews, where it will be seen by many more people.

Item reviews are not always posted. I submitted a negative review twice for some defective earrings that I received and the review has not been posted.

QVC promoting their various Facebook pages to me makes them at least partially a social site. However, they want to be in the social kitchen, but they don't want the heat. I think the forums were too much heat without a big enough business advantage to offset the expense of running it.
I don't feel the forum closing was done on purpose to distress me, but it certainly does affect me. For those who use it as a social lifeline and/or have developed a kinship with posters over many years, it's particularly a bitter pill. I'm very happy with the ProBoard site, and its popularity already is a good omen that the Q forum community can continue. The speed at which this happened amazes me.

My biggest gripe with this choice made by QVC is that there are many and I mean MANY other issues they should be addressing before they worry about these boards to the extent they seem to have done.

This post has been removed by QVC because it is political

I see an unreadably small name above a huge avatar.
The avatar is 25% of the width of the total screen.
There's space surrounding each post here, facilitating readability.
There, the avatar plus the post goes from left to right edges, without margins. So enlarging results in words going right off the screen. Hence the need to shift left-right... on each line.
Thanks to you guys for your help
Something is not right in your settings. I use my phone and iPad and I don't have to scroll over. I know many have talked about the font size being made bigger across the board. I believe they are looking into that. I don't look at the questions forum so I can't say for certain.

@Imaoldhippie , I must say I'll miss your perspective on things. I agree with parts of your post, but overall @Pearlee 's reply is closer to my thoughts.
I've looked over the proboard. Posters keep writing that it's much like this. Sorry, but the sentences run right off the right margin of my tablet, meaning I'd have to shift left-right-left-right to read anything.
At the same time I have to enlarge waaay too much because the words are so very tiny on my screen.
@Pearlee that double e drives me nuts.
Will you be going back to Pearly now?
It takes time to get used to something new....we are sharing information and figuring things out........just like when Microsoft went through different formats---it took a little time to adjust....and I bet someone could help with the issue with your tablet...
People were afraid of losing contact with long term friendships that had developed over the years, and perhaps if QVC had explained "WHY" the change would have gone smoother ....Facebook itself is getting to be an outdated social media platform....just research what millennials think while they move to Tik Tok, Instagram, and You Tube....And there continues to be investigations taking place over Facebook's privacy and censorship issues too, many people dont trust Facebook keeping their personal information private!
