Re: How will the new qvc look, cable vs streaming

To everything there is a season.  QVC has most likely run its course.  It's no longer novel, different or new.  Unless they can come up with a unique style, something that hasn't been tried before, they are most likely on their way out.

The QVC Group has never said that it will abruptly pull the plug on televised programming.   However, resources and focus are clearly shifting,  so the demise will be gradual and occur over several years.

From the newly published 2024 Annual Report:

"Our strategy is to transform QVC Group into a live social shopping company. We plan to intensify our already successful efforts in social and streaming to deliver $1.5 billion in run-rate revenue from these platforms within 3 years."

LOL @THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes,  others would beg to differ, at least as far as the forums go.

@Kitty Galore, streaming is not in the talking phase.

It's currently available. They seem to be developing ways to expand the use of streaming and other social media sources.

Re: How will the new qvc look, cable vs streaming

QVC having actual live channels for different categories would be cost prohibitive. I think that broadcasting live even just 21 hours a day one 1 channel, and 13 hours a day on their second channel will eventually go away. It's just not how people shop anymore. QVC's live streaming might not even be worth it. It would surprise me if they went all streaming, with minimal live material on social media.
