With all this talk of the layoffs, hsn move, and switch to streaming.
How do you think the new qvc will look by next year?
I do agree that hsn will stay a seperate channel for a little while, but maybe by 27 it will be absorbed completely. Perhaps when they cut ties with cable stations.
Will everything be streamlined so to say? Will there be more ways to shop and more entities in general. Seperate channels for all platforms, along with the plus app. Could we get more age demos and brands with this move. Smaller vendors would be able to afford air time, compared to expensive cable time. I'd like to see startups instead of celebs.
Will there be more or less hosts? Will there be more or less models?
Will vendors at home on Q2 go away? Will everything be shot at studio park?
Will timeslots or one day only items even be a thing?
Will shows be trimmed, like no gossiping/guest hosts and put focus on the items.
Another thing I noticed, they keep saying the phrase 'live social channel'
Does this mean reruns will go away and it will be live 24/7 again?
That would open the door for more brands, with those extra hours.
And possibly force them to tone down all the house brands.
I would like more than 3 choices/brands if I want jeans.
I would really like it if the channels would be seperated by category.
They sorta do this now with the plus app, but its never live. All reruns.
Like today is sunday, thats always food on qvc.
If they create multiple live channels of fahsion or beauty, surely sales will go up.
Because they are opening up their catalog and not tied down to a day of the week.
Giving customers more chances to shop for what they want to see.
Will prices will go down as they won't be paying for expensive satellite time?
How do you think the streaming era will look?
