Anyone else notice Jane Brown getting "testy" when she misled viewers with saying NY Style Bagels instead of NYC Bagels and host corrected her on his product? She tried to make it a joke but she really was miffed he corrected her.

Nope I don't watch food shows but people make mistakes. Another host made false statements repeatedly with the vendor beside her saying a lotion could be used on your undercarriage, to which the vendor repeatedly said "no you cannot." That is a huge issue as there could be medical (health) consequences involved.
However, I did see the 2 hr static D&C show this week with Jayne and the new brand rep solo without Gary, and I got the feeling JB was not sold on her. Jayne is usually pretty peppy, chatty and smiley with GG and other reps, even newbies, and this time she was all business. There was no chemistry, imo.

@ajsidney12 - I wish I would have seen the D & C show with Jayne and the new rep. The new rep doesn't have much to add - other than agreeing with the host, from what I've seen.

I have always had this spidey sense that Jayne is a sheep in wolf's clothing, appearing gregarious until she isn't.
Always trust your gut.

That was a pretty big misspeak of Jayne's, in my opinion. The Just Bagels guy's #1 sales pitch is that his bagels are the real NYC/Bronx bagels. I don't blame him at all for correcting her.
I think Jayne was trying to make a joke out of him correcting her on air, which is something all presenters are trained not to do. But his correction was definitely needed.
It just got a bit awkward because Jayne wouldn't let it go and kept bringing it up and laughing about it. She made the whole situation look unnecessarily testy on her part.
But I also think she was gracious enough to make sure she stated that he was indeed correct, and him making that distinction was very important.
It was a little uncomfortable since the Just Bagels guy did seem nervous and uncomfortable about correcting her -- he did not laugh. He kept saying, I'm not supposed to correct on air.

@Caaareful Shopper When did this happen? I'm not surprised. She can be quite curt when she wants to be.

@ajsidney12 I agree. There is no chemistry with the new assistant rep. Maybe she hasn't found her sea legs yet. Jane can be intimidating not to mention the enormous height difference

The new D&C rep is a real snooze fest. All she is is a yes man. Adds nothing.

I saw quite a bit of the Denim and Co show and felt it was a bit stiff and lacked the usual fun element when Gary is there. I don't fault either woman. The situation itself must be awkward.
One week Jackie Morgan was there and then she was suddenly replaced with this new woman. I got the impression that the change was a surprise for all concerned. Two strangers having to act like old friends with chemistry and history for two hours can't be easy.
I'm trying to keep an open mind with the new rep, Lisa, but I don't understand why management made the change or what they think her look is bringing to the brand.

This was yesterday's Gourmet Holiday show.
You can hear Jayne and the bagel guest talking about it at the very start of the product videos, M142665.
Glad he addressed it and corrected her; being a true New York City bagel is very important to him.
