@CAcableGirl2 it's the TSV.

David Dangle manages it tastefully for Joan Rivers.

I feel there is a way to honor the family’s accomplishments without bringing up his death every 5 minutes.

This seems desperate and tacky to me.

I couldn't disagree with you more.  I thought it was very tastefully and respectfully handled.  The host seemed sincere.

Having recently cared for her own father, thru an end of life illness, I can't imagine, she'd intentionally use the Dr's death, with his daughter, on air, to sell the product.

there is nothing sincere about thae host, pure drama queen

I felt Shawn was honoring Dr Smigle.  It told the history of the product and the development of the very popular and efficatious health product.

Dr Smigle was a part of  QVC for many years.   He was a pioneer in the industry and is beloved by many.  In a time when bashing and not honoring the previous pioneers is in vogue. please leave this man and his family to celebrate his accomplishments.

I've been with QVC, since CVS, never heard of a Dr Smigle, but why keep bringing up someone who used to be on. I adored Joan Rivers and remember she and David Dangle were the best of friends. I like clothes and jewelry, not a big fan of make up since I'm retired, so maybe thats why a lot don't remember him.

Angel Smedley has to menton the passing of Jean Bice with every presentation of Quacker Factory's DreamJeannes.  I happen to like the pants so I like to see presentations of them when I'm considering a purchase.

However I don't appreciate hearing about JB each time.  It seems a bit over the top and tacky to me. I was not a fan of that woman but I do like Angel a lot.

@haddon9- I never liked Jean Bice, but I absolutely adored Joan Rivers. I could hear stories about Joan Rivers every day if they'd let me, but Jean Bice totally turned me off. Feh.

Please tell me who this doctor is that died? I never heard of him. Thanks.

I think (make that assume) that for many people Dr Smigle was synonymous with the particular teeth product that he brought to QVC. At the same time, they also had a different, if I recall correctly, similarly named product. So, to me at least, it was Dr Smigle that differentiated the two products. Not that I would care between one or the other. But, I can see how bringing him up makes people aware that this was the product he used to rep (in case it matters.)
