Since all hosts are salespeople, I don't believe anything they say "personally" about any product used, and I don't generally believe anything they say about the product period, no matter how "nice" or "honest (seeming)" they are, or how they live (what they have said of) their personal lives.  I have never bought a single thing from QVC based on what a host said about it that wasn't also stated in the product's written description.

I bet they get to try a lot of those products.

You would win that bet.  Makes sense they try the majority of products, but the OP has a point about them speaking as if they use the product on a regular basis.  Of course, that is all sales hype and it doesn't really matter to me if they use it or not.  Why would I care if a host used a skincare product the day before selling it?  What does that mean to me?

Many talk about receiving the product in advance of their show in order to try it, etc.  This even applies to a lot of kitchen items.  They must get a ton of stuff.  Goes with the job, I guess.  Also, many of the ladies come right out and ask the vendor about keeping the lipstick, eye shadow, etc.

Your right---I hear them say this especially about cosmetics ---- and they aren't talking about samples either because the host will say---this is the makeup I use everyday when I'm off camera..........of course it changes with every cosmetic line that is being shown.....one day it's Laura Geller, the next It Cosmetics, etc etc.....LOL!!!  For me what a host uses is NOT a selling point either!
