Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

@Bhvbum     that was awesome! I just had to go back and see it after reading this. I LOVE Rick and hope he is there forever. You know Rick is well respected when Mary beth chose him to be the MC of her show. He is awesome!

It just reminded me of Tues eve last week with Dennis & Friends. I usually LOVE Dennis, but he wouldn't ****** during a Junior's Cheesecake presentation. Alan Rosen had to say multiple x's "Listen to me" and even Shawn chimed in and said, "the phrase of the night is "Listen to me"

Sometimes, you just have to put the person in their place when they just ramble on and don't concentrate on selling the product!

Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

I find that Sandra is very knowledgeable when it comes to gardening. She gets a lot of info out there. It certainly beats some of those hosts that know nothing about the products. Obviously, she must be selling well....because she gets so many of the garden shows..I remember a few years ago when this forum was criticizing her because she talked so quietly and :sweetly.:We all have people that we don't prefer listening to. I notice that I do not enjoy some of the individuals that many of you do. It's simple.....I don't listen to them, or just listen to a part of the show, We all have our preferences, it's human nature.

Re: HOW TO RUIN GARDEN SHOWS1

I always go to my LOCAL gardening store to support them and to buy beautiful plants and to get useful advice.  These gardening shows are not for me.  And who plants a perrenniel schrub in a PLANTER?????  You have to take it out in the winter or it will FREEZE.   No one mentions that.

Perrineals in a tub will come back if left outside. Depends on the tub or planter.

I like how Rick jokes around with Martha. 😂

Even asked her if she had any connections so he could have dinner at the Bedford Restaurant in Las Vegas (which she owns). 😂

I’m trying to think… but I don’t know of any other host that dares to joke around with Martha??

Alberti plays it cool and flatters her with compliments.

So PHONY.

Not in my neck of the woods.  Plants will die in the winter because the dirt freezes as well in such a shallow environment.  Maybe in the south they would survive.
