No idea what TPTB are thinking that has promoted these endless presentations, but a review of the financial reports might indicate it isn't working very well. Moreover, if adequate detail is lacking, it isn't due to time constraints, it's because hosts are either 'story telling' or running off, on and around the sets for who knows what reason.

I'm like you, I've never liked to shop with another person. I want to do my own thing at my own pace.
@Kachina624I'm with you.....like to shop on my own. Unless it's w/my daughter. I swear, she's part bloodhound. lol. She finds the best stuff!!!

I think it is funny that at midnight, when the TSV is aired, the hosts will warn us. "Don't go to sleep without placing your order. Your size and color might be sold out tomorrow morning, and I don't want you to miss out."
At that point I am thinking, do they really care WHO got the item as long as it is sold out?????
Then, of course, in the morning, every size and color is still available, sometimes until the middle of the day into the evening.

@KKJ wrote:Yes, the TSV presentations are so many and ridiculously long as previously stated, and especially so when it's a pricy item like the Dyson vacuum yesterday.
@KKJ When the vendor made this statement: "Everyone should vacuum their mattress, on top & on its side" I was done!
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

Gosh, I know a lot of people feel as @Shanus does. But, I guess I see QVC differently. It doesn't bother me if they have hour long TSV presentations. I just don't watch. Many times there are offerings I have no interest in so I don't tune in at that time. However, I still purchase a lot from QVC. I just went back to see how many orders I placed, 68 orders since 1/1/25.
My point is I don't enjoy these long "infomercials" either. I don't care for some of these antics but when I find something that interests me I enjoy watching, at least long enough to get some info. I then go online for the rest of the information I need. I also do a lot of browsing online, I appreciate and rely on the videos from previous presentations.
In my opinion, if the shows bother us so much then perhaps we are watching QVC too much. Browse online and fast forward the video parts you have no interest in. Also, look at the info online as it is much more helpful. I just don't let them telling me where to wear things or their life history bother me. I never just sit and watch it, I'm usually cleaning or doing a project or working online with it on in the background.

How can something be a "hard sell" when you turned the TV and of your own free will sit down to watch?

@Shanus Online shopping at many sites has most likely lessened the number of QVC shoppers.
During the height of the pandemic, many who rarely shopped anywhere online found the variety and convenience of virtually going to many stores and having them deliver -- and many times with no shipping costs.
Be well,

No worries about selling out over night most of the time @Puppy Lips. It's not like the old days. Besides, if it sells out, the same thing will be the TSV again soon enough, given their rampant repetition of products.

@cjm61 Good that you've found a formula that works for you. As for me, I barely watch at all, but when I do tune in and they belabor, for example, a single clothing item of any kind for 20 to 30 minutes, it's not only simply unnecessary but it's boring. There just isn't that much to say and most of the time they're repeating their script over and over again. Whether I might have wanted to watch or not, I turn it off and I'm not sure that should be their goal.
