It's a sad state of affairs when a shopping channel  becomes some people's social support. There's many seniors that are lonely and do not get out of their houses, so they rely on all the  QVC chit chat antics . Seems there 's many of us on these boards who shop at QVC who have " lives  " and  social networks beyond the Hosts on QVC .  Many posters , like myself can't stand all the nonsensical chit chat and goofy stuff .

@Shanus   What you want might work for you.

Right now QVC appears on my charge card nearly every month - some new sales, some EZPays.

If they make all the changes you suggest, I might buy something different, but I won't be spending more significant dollars.  My free-spending years have disappeared and I don't miss them nor what I used to buy during that part of my life.

They claim to have thousands upon thousands of items that are never aired.  Why not?

Show more items in an hour and cut the chit chat.  I know that isn't their new "format" and won't happen.

If I want to search for items online, I will go where there is free shipping and real free returns.

Because, and I am guessing, items shown on air are either vendor-paid advertising or the vendor giving QVC additional margin.

I think the need for hosts to fill in the item's time allocation is driving all the chitchat and movement.  When each item had a shorter time, it was specific to the details.  Miss it.

@Shanus.  And we we have constant complaints here that not enough information is given about fabric content and sizing, among other things.  Who to please?

I'm like you, I've never liked to shop with another person.  I want to do my own thing at my own pace.

Back when I was watching the Q often, I thought that the TSV presentations were way too long unless it was a product I was interested in like Bare Minerals when it was new.  And there were so many customer call-ins:/

Seems many people agree with you Shanus. Presentations that are way too long and for me, ****** annoying hosts. Very seldom watch nowadays. Way, way less than I used to.
Viewer watching minutes are down 4% according to the most recent stats.

DD and I like to record shows we know we could be interested in.  Even with vendors we really like.  That way we can ffwd when it goes on too long for an item we are not interested in.  Might miss a few "one time only's" that way but for us it works out great.

I'm still checking in with the Forums for now, however, no longer buying from the Q.

I've been returning most things and know I can shop locally for anything I really want or need.

I doubt my actual shopping will be missed since I've never been a big purchaser here. Cat Indifferent

I liked when they had the clock on the screen with the remaining minutes left for the presentation. If it was a long presentation I would change the channel.
