Guaranteed Delivery??? Really???

QVC says they will '''guarantee delivery'' before Dec. 25.  First off, how can they say that they will get you the purchase  by then -  If USPS is involved in  the shipping, certainly you can't depend on their shipping techniques.  Also, what does QVC's ''guarantee'' really mean?  Does it mean that you will actually have the purchase in hand by Dec. 25th - or does the ''guarantee'' mean that if you don't get it, they will refund your $  ?   In that case, somebody will still be out of a gift.

Re: Guaranteed Delivery??? Really???

I heard many hosts saying this also on both QVC and HSN. Earlier in the week I heard the in 10 days and you will receive the item.

It takes that long to Process lately, considering the many posts on this subject. I resent being told more untruths for a Sales Tactic. It used to be a pretty safe statement but not in these times.  I could handle it MAY get there before Christmas. There are always late shoppers  and those who may take this literally and not realize what shipping issues are out there? I hope people do get pleasantly surprised, if needing gifts by Christmas.

That would concern me too.  I shipped a package last week that the Post Office said would deliver this past Monday ....   it's STILL IN TRANSIT!  No scans since the 8th.

Nope ...  would not bank on that short of a window unless they are shipping everything Fedex.

I would not order anything from Q after Dec 1st and expect it to arrive before Christmas.  And now, Q would have to ship priority mail or a UPS method faster than ground to get it by then.  Even if Q does that, carriers are buried to their eyeballs and can do only so much in a day.

Agreed, I totally don't believe them.   Deliveries have been an issue for quite awhile now, I cannot for the life of me see how they can make this promise on national tv.  They just want to sell as much as they can meanwhile you may get an email IOU with a bow attached !!

Re: Guaranteed Delivery??? Really???

They say that every year, nothing new or different.  If you order late and trust the mail thats your fault.

Even before the USPS went nuts I never trusted the last minute shipping.

I do not think they should say that at all.  If they want to say something about arrival it should be something like. ........

We will do our best to get your order sent to USPS in time for Xmas delivery, but after the USPS receives it, it is out of our control.

USPS is significantly slower right now than a month ago.  It's unlikely things will arrive by Christmas at this date.

Although not from qvc, I have something sitting in the mail somewhere and it's going on two weeks.

Re: Guaranteed Delivery??? Really???

If I decide to order something at this point in time for a Christmas gift, and it does NOT arrive on time....my recipient will get a picture of it knowing it will be here shortly.

You should NOT expect to get it for free...really?

With all that is going on, if anyone gets all bent outta shape because their gift is delayed or lost, they should clearly reevaluate their priorities.

There is a REASON for this season and it doesn't involve getting upset about material things.

Re: Guaranteed Delivery??? Really???

During "normal times" QVC had problems for the last couple of years with items not being delivered in time for Christmas despite QVC's "guarantee".......The delivery companies just could not keep up....

Now add more people than ever ordering on line due to the pandemic and it seems unlikely how QVC's "guarantee" can be fulfilled.....  Thats why many of us here on the Forum warned folks to shop early rather than wait for the "usual" Christmas shopping season---Take necessary precautions and shop local if you want gifts guaranteed for Christmas now or you may be writing a "QVC let me down" thread....
