I agree. It has reached th point of no return. So unprofessional. I love laughing, and having fun but the Rachel/ Alberti show is absurd. They can still sell product and enjoy themselves. Rachel alone is a terrific host, but when she is paired with Alberti she spirals out of control.

I never thought that I would say this, but Rick is definitely the calmer of the two. In fact, I have found Rick to be more Calmer nowadays then most of the hosts.  No endless stories about his family members, vacations, and pets. Years ago he was an automatic channel changer for me. Not anymore.

Thank you!  He and RachaelB are the only hosts that are instant channel changers for me and they are on so often. Let's not forget the twirling, dancing, goofing off, moaning, groaning, food faces, jumping up and down, fake smiles and interjections of exclamations like, "oh yum and gasping, food touching, hiding and ownership statements,so they can claim it as their own and worst of all, the gluttonism.

Omg as i was channel surfing and saw gourmet show, I can't believe how Alberti was talking and Rachael just jumps in and starts talking over alberti. Squishing the lobster raviolis among other foods is horrible. That was it for me. changed channel.

Same here. Surfing by and he was smashing and crumbling a cookie with chocolate on his fingers and hands. Yuck. No cookies here!

I noticed that too.  I think it's because the hosts have said they get samples of all the foods sent to their homes (and it must be a full order because they claim they eat it all week and even longer).  Alberti said yesterday that he had boxes of the candy he was presenting, at home.  They also say they eat these foods before the shows even start.  So I think they do the things you mentioned because they've already eaten the food and will now try to sell it to us even before they even eat it again.

I think Rachel is a fine host but she really has gotten much louder and dramatic in the last few years.  I liked her better when she was more reserved.  But I guess that is what they do now.  So different .... a sign of the times.

Also, prices up and quality down.  Fabrics are awful these days and not just on the Q. rTry to find a nice cotton nightgown, shirt, men's shirt, etc.  They are either cheap thin cotton or a blend or all polyester.

Rachel has recently gone way over the top!  As well as now being loud & quite obnoxious, she's trying to 'wax poetic'!!  Harry Slatkin tried to shut her down when she started describing the atmosphere she gets when she burns his candles!  She's gone full-on hard sell.  Others too!  Jennifer Coffey was lovely when she started, now she's become a legend in her own mind!  Courtney does a great job, but every time there's a new TSV, there's Courtney!  Hosts like Mary Beth, Sandra seem to be phasing out, in exchange for the hosts that will be 'all revved-up' when they start.  My favorite of all is still Dan Hughes!  No loud, obnoxious or outrageous behaviour - ever!

They are all hard sell, but some don't make it as obvious as others.
