I've noticed in the past 10-15 years celebrities and models have developed this habit of standing with their feet turned in. Its odd and not sure how it got started. I've noticed a few hosts have developed this habit recently when they didn't do this before. I don't know how or why this became "a thing". Is it just me that has noticed this phenomenon?

If I understand what you're talking about, I see Lori Goldstein standing like that much of the time. I've always heard that described as being pigeon-toed.

I have noticed this foot stance in some women's clothing catalogs. So I just googled this. The article said it helps you look thinner and it also makes you look less intimidating. The celebs want to be liked. They don't want you to think they are divas, so they stand like 5 year olds to make you like them. Ridiculous.

I guess it's better than that model's stance (not QVC) where it looks like they have to pee.... but yes Lori Goldstein's is extremely awkward and hard to watch.

@Q4u and that p. stance isn't just the models. I see alot of hosts on all the shopping channels do it. So odd looking. It's like they all got the memo to stand in that way. Not very flattering nor natural.

Agree, it's like they don't want to look like mature women, but little girls. Celebrities do it also. Today's actresses can't compare to the beautuful actresses of yore.

feet in = submissive, female, yin
feet out = assertive, male, yang
Don't shoot the messenger.

Or when you are trying to check the length of pants and the models are doing what I call "the flamingo stance"....with a foot raised up toe of the shoe pointed to the ground.....
