I decorate for fall in early September and add Halloween decoration the first of October.  After Halloween, I put the Halloween decorations away and leave the fall decorations out until the Christmas tree goes up the Saturday before thanksgiving.

I love Fall! I usually would start to decorate after Labor Day, but, as I get older it seems I better start sooner, everything takes longer!

Just wondering.

Here in South Texas we really dont have a true fall or a winter season..For me the day after Labor Day is when I do Fall decorating....I dont do Halloween and I start Christmas early the 2nd week of November..(I dont want to do all that Christmas decorating for just a couple weeks in December so I add a few weeks in November).......

I was thinking  this morning soon we will be seeing pumpkin spice in stores. I saw my first fall decorations driving out if town today. A small bale of straw at the bottom of a mailbox post with artificial leaves wrapped around the post.

I start with Sunflowers outside as a late summer bloom. My geraniums aren't as pretty and our leaves and grasses are starting to yellow. School starts Sept. 1st and I will bring out Fall decorations. Frost mid September and leaves peak first week of Oct. I live Up North.

Christmas decor is out till January 6th and replaced with some winter themed items. I am a creature of habit so I don't usually deviate from my decorating schedule.

We use the same schedule...LOL

I'm not a summer person, so during these months the only decor I display is a SUNFLOWER arrangement on my coffee table and my dinning room table and a Sunflower wreath on my front door.....Then after Labor Day I put up my fall/autumn stuff, and the 2nd week of November its Christmas.....

I love seeing pictures of how people decorate for fall.  I always have a lot of ideas but then get overwhelmed and do not know where to start.  I love the Fall season!

Decorating for the season and be fun and creative, but
I think twice these days because putting it all away is work and I have some physical issues.

I start in Sept---I just decorate my fireplace mantle not all around the place.
