Re: Extreme dry hands - What Helps!!

@RescueLover    Is this a chronic condition?   Usually OTC creams won't help such a problem but only give temporary relief.  Have you seen a dermatologist?

I swear by Cerave cream in the round jar in the winter.

Perlier Honey Miel handcream or Loccitane orignal handcream are both excellent.

I use Gold Bond Healing Hydrating Cream w/ aloe. My knuckles get dry, split and bleed. Gold Bond takes care of it quickly. Always have it next to me on an end table or nightstand.

I use Eucerin original healing cream.  It goes from light to rich.  I use the rich one.  The cream is super thick and it is amazing on my hands and face.  It is a dermatological skincare cream.  My skin is sensitive and I can use this with no problem.  It absorbs quickly into my skin. Good luck with what ou choose .Smiley Happy

Cerave or Eucerin for extremely dry hands.

I did not see your post.  I just posted about Eucerin.  I love this product.  I use the rich one, a heavy white cream and it absorbs immediately on meSmiley Happy

Re: Extreme dry hands - What Helps!!

@Teddixat Hi, I also have the bleeding knuckles because of the cracks. It’s my constant hand washing at home, being out and about then using hand sanitizer, and forgetting to wear gloves now that the temps have been staying low. The lotions I’ve tried Philosophy, Jose Maran, Beekman, Nivea, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, Cetaphil just can’t clear them up. I went to Sephora the other day prior to asking everyone here for help. I was embarrassed to show them my hands but they were very nice and recommended Kiehls. I came home, read the reviews and ordered it. Haven’t received it yet. I’m thankful for everyone’s help here. The Kiehls is kinda expensive ($33 - 5oz) so I’m happy to read about the other brands I haven’t tried that are more budget friendly. Thank You ALL!!! You’re the BEST!! 🤗🤗🤗

I wonder if you might also need to address the product(s) you are using to wash your hands(?).  This winter I switched to a moisturizing hand wash and it made all the difference.  I chose a moisturizing Dove brand, but there are certainly others available and many are available at your drug or grocery store.  Hope you achieve your best outcome.

Re: Extreme dry hands - What Helps!!

@Moon Child Thank You. You know I wondered that myself. I use Philosophy Bath & Shower Gel not only in the shower, but also in the bathroom soap dispensers to wash my hands. In the kitchen I use Palmolive Free and Clear dish soap. I also wear rubber gloves when I’m washing dishes.
Years ago I used Dove in the shower and loved it but then watching the Q I got into Philosophy. Thinking your post might be a sign that I need to go back to Dove! 🤗🤗🤗

I use First Aid Repair Cream.  I absolutely can't stand anything with the feeling of "grease."  The faster it absorbs, the better.
