Is there anyone out there like me I am a true Size 7M. I find that the European sizing (they do sizing like this 6 1/2-7.)well if it's an open toe shoe I can get away with that..BUT if it's a closed shoe or boot they are to small and the 7 1/2 -8 is to big. I like some of the Miz Moos Boots but I can not buy them. I wish they would rethink their sizing

Birkenstock has european sizing too. Once I figured out my size, it works.

@Alexa6352 It's the same for me. My European size is usually what is an American size 9.5-10.

My American size is a 10, so closed toe shoes are too short for me--I've also tried sizing up, but it's usually too big.

Re: European Sizing

@Alexa6352 I also cannot get a good fit for Miz Mooz shoes. Frustrating, I have tried many times, and had to return them all. I am not a fan of European sizing. Sad, because I like the look on some of them.

I've never had success with the "conversion size" either...PLUS I have wide feet

@Alexa6352   At over $5.50 for shipping and about $7 to return? Shoes and clothing a "do not order" for me.

I just tried the Clark's Loafers....free shipping, regular sizing, I'ver worn a size 8 in Clarks for years and could barely get my foot in the shoe.

Since so much clothing/shoes/beauty are not made in the US anymore, I have to purchase when I can try the item. Sizing all over the place.

@Shanus,

I had the same problem with Clark's loafers. Sizing is all over the place and it costs too much to return two pairs. I too could barely get my foot in the loafers.

Maybe some of them have new manufacturers?

I am a true 8.5 W and 39 in Birki.

I have seen some brands that label a 39 as some variation of this.

Perhaps that particular manufacture know theirs run big or small?  Honestly, it pushes me away.

For me, it depends on the shoe.  I can't seem to find a good fit in Alegria, but can wear Birkenstock and several others with no problem.  Seems you may just have to find the brand that works for you and (like me) have to give up others.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
