@homedecor1 - One thing that strikes me is that line at the top:

"This message is from a mailing list."

I know everyone has tried to give you some good advice about how to deal with this email.  I would always hover the cursor over the sender's address.

You may find it's not from QVC at all and it could contain malware hidden in any part of it.

It certainly sounds like a scam (or phishing) email to me.  I order fairly frequently and I have never gotten anything remotely like this.

I think it is a tempest in a teapot. If the OP was offended she would have reached out to the Social Team and asked them to check this out and get back to her.  So far no one else posting here has received this. Unless the OP does this and lets us know what the response from QVC is I am remaining skeptical of the whole thing.

@50Mickey

Give me a break!!!  I'm not making a major issue out of this (others did).

My whole life I've never been called Babe and found it unusual qvc would address me this way!

What do you expect QVC social team to do?  Give me the standard answer "we will forward to IT".  Big deal what will they do?

Yes, it's inappropriate in many ways but as I stated it's a different world and more & more things change.  Maybe it was a IT intern as today I got email with typos -- makes one wonder who is reviewing what is emailed to customers. You think this is a "hack" too😳

Our GD tonight called us "dudes" we just laughed it off as the new generation.

You can be skeptical or believe whatever you want the email came through just as posted.

Life is a challenge everyday & honestly, I have no reason to post something which is untrue let alone justify others questioning the validity of it.

Maybe it was a hack it's done & over with!!

@homedecor1  -  Since you don't have the email anymore, why don't you just send them a screen shot of the OP and tell the moderators you received this email.  Maybe they can answer if it's legit or not.

IMG_3894.jpgI received the same email. Frankly, it caused me to pause for a moment before laughing. Life is too short to waste the energy or time complaining to QVC corporate. It made me laugh and took me back about 30 years. Thanks QVC for the laugh!

I Don't consider calling a loved one Babe derogatory at all. My husband and I call each other Babe frequently, along with other terms of endearment. We are in our mid 60's. But it is not a term that should be used in the business world. Not by men or women, Unprofessional.

@homedecor1 - Interesting looking at the sender's expanded email address.

The initials are "bc".  Maybe the QVC employee who sent it really is called "Babe"!
