I wonder if these shows are the change to programming we've been wanting.  I think most products on Q esp. beauty products, clothing lines, electronics have made the Q with the same repetitive shows stale!

IMO hype of holidays over & now the winter dreary days & cold are coming -- people "nest" so why not focus on home/kitchen shows.  I think it's great considering I don't watch the other shows.

We all know sales soar when ITKWD is on ...he's a great salesman --  I truly believe he could sell ice to eskimos!!!

I tend to agree they all are constantly interupting with what colors are going,, and what they are, and the count down. But I have a problem with they didin't bring alot in, and when they are gone , they are gone. So don't to attached to a product in case you have to have it reordered because it is defective you may never get another by replacement..

I agree , I counted that of the viewing of the "Today Special Value " They spend at least 45 minutes of almost every hour on the TSV. How crazy. I don't like that so I been just turning the show off, and order by previewing the I Q.V.C. If I am looking for a specific item. I need to get away from T.V anyway. and do other things any way.So I consider myself saved by the bell as they say.

@Kachina624

Shake ups are good.  I imagine the hosts are hating all the changes though.  It is easy to get comfortable with things as they are.  I worked for an elementary school until I retired a few years ago.  When a new principal or superintendant came in they usually moved teachers around from grade to grade and the teachers hated it. I am thinking the hosts are not enjoying it either; especially going from what they are used to to QVC2, working with new people, etc.  They are paid very well though so they will have to learn to like it or leave.

Re: Down Home With David!

[ Edited ]

I enjoy watching David on ITKWD, so I hate to be so blunt, but nothing about him or the things he says and does would lead me to believe he has any style or insights into items that would be great for home decor or related topics. This concerns me because I think it sets up his new show to be a dumping ground for the TSV and other random things the Q wants to push, as well as the items we constantly see on ITKWD, and it seems less and less likely that we'll get anything new or innovative—which is what we are really seeking when we say we want to see changes.

As I recently posted in another thread: QVC has literally hundreds of thousands of items in its inventory, so why do we only see the same two or three dozen items over and over again for hours on end? Sigh.

I do wish David all the best in this new endeavor . . . hopefully he'll have some fun.

Yippee, another name to sell the same old merchandise.   Shuffling hosts and coming up with new names for shows isn't what I think is needed.  How about new brands and more variety and better quality?  Anything else just makes me change the channel.

The man has admitted on air he only owns a screwdriver and a hammer and doesnt have an ounce of DIY in his blood.  He also doesnt cook he heats things up and uses supermarket shortcuts.  I like the man but to fashion him as some kind of home guru is ridiculous.  Hes a busy professional like many who works and goes home and has limited time on his hands.

@homedecor1 That is just waht I was thinking. I pretty much only watch David and Mary and holiday shows. I'm already missing the Christmas shows. We have not seen David focus on home decor, etc. BUT, if he starts hawking clearance cleaning items, I'm out!

I don't think that this show will have anything to do with decor or home repair.

I suspect the products will be throws and blankets, vacuums, humidifiers, Bose sound equipment, tablets and maybe some bottles of wine.
