On the show today ( or was it last night?) as Courtney was showing the todays special value jeans a post came up on the TV stating that exchanges were NOT free.  I wonder if this is a new policy or  just for those jeans?

@Calcgirl Returns have not been free for years.  Only exchanges have been free unless they changed that too.

@haddon9 I can't remember returns ever being totally free.  Didn't we pay for postage always?

In some instances, if they shipped an item that was 'Not As Ordered' - Q will refund the full amount of your purchase including shipping/return provided you have marked this notation on the reason for return and a refund is being requested.

Also if an item is defective, contact CS, they make a note on your account to deduct the amount of the shipping label when you return the item.

You mean NOT deduct the amount of the shipping label, right?

Sadly you gotta watch the Returns dept on that!  They mess that up ALL the time even though the mods/CS note the order as defect/incorrect etc.

I put GIANT notes in the bag and they still deduct the label fee!

@RespectLife   Yes, you have to keep checking, but the return charges of the return shipping label is refunded if items are defective, broken, etc.

Oh yes @Shanus  they are refundable.

 Defects, wrong fill, damaged etc should never have to pay the return label fee AND should get the original shipping refunded as well.

You have to watch them on that also!

I don't have many complaints really, but the POOR training of the returns dept employees is one of them.

Same thing at HSN.  I ordered Lancome Bifocil remover and got 2 bottles of white foamy stuff!  There was literally some sort of 'curd' floating in there!

They didn't refund my original S/H AND charged me a $7.95 label fee!

Return slip correctly marked and a FULL SHEET paper note!

CORRECTION YO MY ORIGINAL POST: I meant exchanges, not returns.  IT said that exchanges were NOT free.

@millieshops Once upon a time the Q did pay return shipping costs....I don't remember how many years ago that was but it was a long time ago.
