I don't use Easy Pay.  If, I need something very expensive and I am not sure I'll keep it, I pay with PayPal and use their four payments plan w/no interest.  If I know I will keep it, I just pay for it 100%.

If I don't have the money upfront to buy a want, I just won't buy it.  Those easy payments can add up.  There have been many posters who got into credit card dept with Easy Pay.

I am careful and fortunate that I pay all of my credit cards 100% every month....I never carry a balance.

@Carmie  -  Not everyone who uses EP is "not able to afford the payment upfront".   I like EP and having the option to pay it off anytime.  One is not locked into 5 payments.

The only debt I pay interest on is my mortgage payment.

Same with me.  Please don't assume those of us who use EP are not.

No, I have a strong distaste for 5 Easy Pays.  I don't want to pay for anything for that long.   I've often NOT bought an item because there were too many EPs.

@Kachina624  -  Are you aware that you are able to change the payment to ONE payment in the payment section?  You are not forced to used EP.

@San Antonio Gal.  Of course and that's what I usually do, o4 pay it off after the fact.  Sometimes I'd like 2 or 3 EPs like HSN offers.

@San Antonio Gal   I was talking about myself and why I don't use easy pay.

I did not say or understand why you assumed I thought people who use easy pay could not afford to pay it upfront.

Everyone has different circumstances.

No one is ever locked into the 5 payment schedule.  It's not a requirement.

@They CallMe MRWILKES  I agree with you about the 5 easy payments, no one is locked into that payment plan. You can pay it off at any time. I don't know why people keep citing the same spiel over and over. It doesn't make sense.

@skittles2, I am one of those shoppers who have stopped shopping with QVC since they took away the 4 & 5 easy pays - and I am not alone. In my family, the biggest culprits is my mom, sisters, teen daughters and other family & friends who shop so much that we all keep UPS & USPS in business!

Now though, our wallets have been shut since EPs went away. On occasion if we all really want something, we wait for the weekend to buy it when they typically offer the 5 EPS.

So for those that are saying it is not affecting QVC, you bet it is. In all my years of shopping here which is over 10 years, they never offered me a coupon. I was one of those in the category that didn't qualify for a coupon. Now though, apparently they want me back because I get a coupon code every week with "we miss you" deals!

Funny enough though. the people who have self admitted here on this forum many times that they no longer shop on QVC, are saying it doesn't impact them at all and prefer one payment. Good for y'all if you actually shopped, but 90% of QVC shoppers are on a limited income and some of us actually like EPs so that we can puchase more instead of less. AND we don't all want their credit card that they keep shoving at our faces every few minutes just to get EPS! I would never sign up for a retailer's CC for many reasons. I'd rather have my own CC and if QVC doesn't want to offer them anymore, well, they just lost me as a customer. It's that simple.

I like the option of being able to pay off the entire EZ Pay balance after I've decided to keep the item.

Got rid of my QCard years ago.  I pay off credit cards in full every month.  No debt.  Much easier.  If I don't feel like can afford it, I wait until I can.

@San Antonio Gal, 100% AGREE with your post. It baffles the mind why some folks make assumptions without knowing anything about the person.

I too can afford to purchase an item at full cost but prefer the 5 EPs. Since they took that away, they also took away my spending and at the end of the day, they (QVC) is the one who will be hurt by it.

And no, not all of us want the stupid CC they keep pushing at us. I much prefer my own bank cc card!
