I wish that QVC would be more forthcoming about the nutritional values of the food they are hawking. Perhaps David's journey could help them along with that, but I have a feeling that they do not want to release those details. I no longer pay much attention to the gourmet holiday and processed foods, or I search for other vendors to get the info before ordering them.

Re: David's Health Journey

David's journey is not for everyone. Low carb is not all roses for everyone. It is very restrictive and unless you have a lot of weight to lose, there are other ways where you don't have to give up so much that you enjoy. Moderation is key and moving! I am trying to lose 10 lbs. through smaller portions, exercise, and  cutting back on sugar which is my downfall and I know it! Trying to make better choices.  Everyone's journey is different. I wish David well and admire him for his sticking to it.  Must be very hard for someone who spent a lot of time on live tv known for yum yum faces and Dancing over the taste of food!

I watched and thought it was well done.  Eliminating sugar is great, but IMO, he's eating way too much protein and it'll eventually catch up with him.

My impression is that David isn't on a strict low carb diet like keto. He is reducing sugar intake. No more Cheryl's Cookies, Junior's cheesecake, or mac and cheese, even. It isn't easy as I happen to know. The yearning for chocolate chip cookies or brownies doesn't go away overnight. It takes discipline, knowledge, and re-imagining your diet.

Thanks to all who responded to the questions about where to find the videos; I've been out of town and not on the forums for a few days.

That being said, it's been a very looooong year of hearing about it.  Hopefully the video will stay up and anyone who still asks David after all this time, "how did you lose the weight?" can refer back to it.

I also hope it means he can refrain from talking about his carbs in every single one of his shows.

I agree @Caaareful Shopper . Many adore David and I'm glad he's healthy but I've stopped tuning into his coffee breaks because he spends 3/4 of the time talking about weight loss. It has gotten very repetitive. Odd because he always said his health was only between him and his doctor but now he has become almost preachy about it.

Considering that there will most likely be a new cookbook based on whatever he is now eating, preachy is a great sales tactic. When the book is released, the preaching will continue at warp speed.

I'm sure the people who enjoyed seeing him gorging on Q food are going to be disappointed that he no longer does it.  It's almost as if he was giving them permission to do the same.  I think his weight loss and new healthy approach to eating is going to affect the sale of all those prepared foods and desserts.  I also think it's going to affect viewership, as many tuned in to watch him eat.
