If there is so much money in the budget to waste this food , than why don't they donate it to the local mission. There are so many children going hungry in the country . Feed the children not staff who are working and don't need a meal handout like homeless children
@skatting44 You would need to send this to the higher ups in the company. No one here can give you answers. Many places have strict rules for accepting donated food.

I've never tried the Rastelli filet mignon.
However, I have their 5-lb Reserve Black Angus Rib Roast w/butter on advanced order. My family has it every Christmas for the past 5 years. It's magnificent.

Thanks for the review. The testimonials sound legitimate. I am going to try the December shipment. This will be my first purchase.

I typically get my filets from Sam's club and to me they are delicious. I am curious about these, but not enough to buy. As to all the meat being cooked, I wonder if the area where the steak is displayed and not eaten is just put in fridge and brought back out each presentation, but clearly marked to staff not for consumption. It would seem to me a better idea than to potentially waste the meat when providing for presentation every time. I noticed they typically don't pull meat from the front area of the table but of course, I have only watched twice today since it's been football since noon.

you are absolutely right @skatting44 .
for example.......
– Food must be prepared in a certified kitchen, inspected by the County Health Dept
– You must have someone present during food preparation who has a food handlers certification
– The food must be labeled with the date & location prepared, and ingredients
– Please prepare enough food to serve up to 90 plates in one meal
– Food must be stored properly up until delivery

I haven't bought Rastelli steaks for a long time now. I had ordered their sirloins way back on A/D. The first couple of shipments were really good, then the quality dropped a lot on subsequent shipments.
My DH commented on it (and he's the one that really loves steak) and I had to agree. After that, I never ordered again.
We can get good steak from our local shops and just buy what we need.

I saw Rastellis steaks in our local supermarket at a much cheaper price. Frankly O don't buy this nonsense of reserved beef and only four percent of cattle can be classified as reserved. His steaks are no better than what you can find at Walmart at a fraction of the price.

Thanks for the suggestion. What I am getting at is QVC and the Reps do not have to cook all that food for demonstrations - they can Donate money to food banks or church soup kitchens rather than have a display of such absurd waste !

@Caaareful Shopper thanks so much for your review on the Rastelli prime rib roast w/the butter. I got the CIJ price and have it coming in early December. It’s a treat for our holiday meal. Glad you got it several years.
I read posts and more posts on how stupid Q food purchasers are, and its so rude. No one asked them to pay for my prime rib. We all choose how to spend our own money. I can’t wait to try it.

The steak should be able to be cut with a fork. I never see them do that. In the past Mr. Rostell I did do that.

I did see them do that once yesterday. So tempted, but passed. I am trying to cut out a big bill and so far have suceeded. Almost got the salmon that was showing after the steak.
