I was using Dr. Kaplan's Facial Diamond Cleanser for quite a while and he mentioned on Air that he has added another ingredient and it seems completely different than the original product.  There is no gritty feeling when you use this on your face.  First, are you supposed to cleanse your face with a mild cleanser and then use this cleanser after that since it is an exfoliator or is this used in "place" of any cleanser and you only use this? Also, do you use it in the morning and the evening?  Do you find this new formula doing the same exfoliating as the original one and do you prefer this newer version better than the older version?  Thanks for your help y'all!

@SweetSpice  -  If you're talking about the daily facial, you're supposed to use it on a clean face.  It's not meant to be a cleanser.

I've used the previous formula and the new formula.  The new formula has vitamin C added to it.  I have not noticed it to be less gritty.

You can purchase the original formula on Ebay if the Q is not carrying it anymore.

I've used it for a while now. 

I always cleanse before exfoliating.

I use it once a day, and it does a fine job of gently exfoliating.

I'm almost out, and I've been looking at Elemis. It bothers me they're asking for so much and making so many promises.

I think a very good exfoliator that you can use daily is very important. 

I can always tell if it's a good, gentle daily exfoliator if it keeps all sebum from my nose. And it does!
