QVC has found a brand new way to exploit one of their hosts in order to sell products. That's my take on the whole thing. Courtney is a lovely girl and I wish her much happiness in her marriage. Just can't believe that she would willingly share her wedding prep with all of QVC's customers. Seems very contrived to me. Maybe it's in her contract. Gone are the days when Jill Bauer was able to keep her wedding plans totally private. Even Shawn kept the details of her wedding quiet. Many hosts before Amy had babies while working at the Q. There was never such hoopla over those pregnancies.

In my opinion, this whole thing is lacking in taste and appealing to the voyeurs among the Q's customers. Almost as bad and the multiple Real Housewives and other reality shows on TV. I miss the old days of many good products presented in a professsional, appealing way. I bought a whole lot more back then. Boring, repetitive products and hosts who participate in the current "cult of personality" have turned me off on the Q. This will probably get poofed by Webbie for being critical but it is my honest opinion on the direction the Q has taken and the audience to whom they now choose to appeal.

I would hate to think what it said about me & my husband if our daughter had turned out like that!

Funny you mention such a thing because I've heard Amy say on many occasions that she wants to show her QVC "Friends", aka the audience, baby Bree. So I suspect we will be seeing Bree making her television debut just around the corner. It truly is appalling!!

I can't get over how many pics Amy shows of her daughter on FB (and let's not talk about how everything that comes out of her mouth seems to relate to "BREE"). If someone ever wanted to find Amy's little family, it wouldn't be that difficult to do. She puts so much personal info out there that can easily be pieced together.

As for the whole Courtney thing, it's all so contrived. I'm left with my jaw hanging open as I cannot believe QVC things we the viewer just fell off the turnip truck yesterday. Like Courtney is going to use ANY of OUR ideas regarding her wedding. Do people really believe this?!??? Why yes they do,…just take a peek at QVC's FB page or Courtney's and you'll see just how many people are interested!! WOW!

You are so right. I don't care for Courtney's hosting style at all and I'm not interested in any of her shows, wedding plans, etc. Doesn't take a genius to figure out all her plans must be made already since the wedding is in less than 2 months so anyone that thinks they can give ideas/input is mistaken. QVC is just using this as another sales ploy. No thanks. Another reason why I'm watching less and buying a lot less.

Some of you might recall that these "Help us plan the wedding" thing originated with the Today show several years ago. As a promotion to increase viewers the Today show allowed viewers to select a couple from hundreds of applicants who would be married live on air at 8 AM outside the studio in Rock Center. Over a period of several months the viewers got to vote on all aspects,of the wedding from dresses to.rings and reception venue. The lucky couple had to,go,with the viewers choices. They did this,promo for several years and then stopped it thank goodness.

She's getting married in September and is asking the customers for wedding suggestions in August? Yeah, right!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, again JMHO, but this whole "share my personal life with the entire world" trend should stop and stop quickly. It would still be too invasive if everyone looking and scanning all these pics and info were "normal/well adjusted" folk. But we all know there are a lot of crazies out there just gathering info for their next horrific deed. Sad, but true. Good example: LisaR! And yet, she still puts photos out there of herself, her home, etc. I simply don't understand it all. It's a very dangerous TREND if you ask me.
