@Kaiti126 - Look at your own first post.  You said the total was "$88.72 (tax and all)".

So the presumption is that "all" includes the tax and shipping, if any.

That's why others are pointing out that the 20% off would not apply to the tax and shipping.

Perhaps if you stated the cost of the actual item, without the tax and shipping, posters could make more sense of it.

Just to add, the shipping and handling amount is taxed in my state.  It could be that too

    Yes, as another poster noted  there might have been an additional  Tax  added on the amt  for shipping & handling.

 So,  thre is one's syate tax to pay  plus ahipping & handling and likely an additional tax  assessed on the shipping & hamdling fee yoy are charged .

Why would you expect the full amount that includes shipping and tax to go down by 20%? They don't discount the shipping and tax. Yes I have no doubt that they "corrected" whatever was wrong.

@Kaiti126.  I'll say this, about half the info you get from CSRs is correct, especially when it comes to monetary matters.  She probably simmply agreed with you because she didn't know how to do the math.

And to put a point on this:  all this over a difference of $1.63?  At this time of year, when we're all happy if we get our items on time and in good condition?

Plus, they've offered several coupons and days of free shipping.

I like to find a good bargain as much as the next person but, I rest my case.
