The math is not mathing with this coupon code of GIVE20! I went to purchase today an American Leather handbag that I have been waiting for months for price to drop and used promo code “GIVE20”. The total amount without the Promo Code comes to $88.72 (tax & all).
When I apply GIVE20, it drops to $72.61 but when you calculate 20% off $88.72 the correct total amount should be $ 70.98 so QVC is withholding $1.63 and not giving the full 20% for some reason. When I contacted CS and informed them of this discrepancy, they said I was correct and they went into the order to change it to $70.98 but gave me no explanation why their system did this in the first place!
Stuff like this drives me crazy and has made me not want to shop with QVC anymore as it’s one thing after another. They give coupons to some folks and not to others. They advertise coupons that system won’t take so you have to contact CS each time to ask them to add it in and now today with this? Something stinks here.

@Kaiti126. The discount is on the selling price, which doesn't include tax or shipping. You were wrong. If the selling price was $100., your discount would be $20.

@Kachina624 is correct. The tax/shipping is added back after the reduced price.

Nope. You are the one who is wrong. With or without the tax and all, QVC is still not giving the ENTIRE 20% off the item I purchased which is not an "As Is" or anything. They even admitted to it and I am an accountant by profession so I know how to calculate. Just saying.

@Kaiti126. Since you didn't list the selling price, we can only tell you the discount is on the item you're buying with no discount on tax or shipping.

i have used coupons for decades
the percent is off the item
then the tax is calculated on the reduced price
then shipping is added
it has never been off the entire total of the item at pre coupon price

No she is not.

Yes, it is 20% off the selling price Before taxes and shipping . That's the same way it is calculated at any brick/mortar or online company .
I don't understand why the Hosts all seem to be unable to do simple math in stating what $ dollar amt would be an approx 20% on items they are selling . Pat and Rick along with many others are bumbling on air with math .
It is simple math

I am not going to debate this with you any further. You can choose to believe me or not. That's on you. I stand by what I said and QVC has already admitted to their mistake and corrected it so I only came here to give people a heads-up to do their own math before they checkout as there may or may not be an issue. Mine had an issue because with and without presale price, it was not giving me the full 20% and no amount of you telling me otherwise will make it so.
Have a good day. Cheers.

I placed an order today using the GIVE20 and yes the 20% was deducted , however the sales tax of 6% for my state was calculated on the original price not the adjusted price . So what's up with that
