There's such an air of superiority about remarks like that. Sometimes there's a "ha, ha, sarcasm" thrown in at the end. Why show off how smart you are for not liking some of what others enjoy?
This is exactly how I feel as well.
There are 3 specific posters who start posts when they don't like something being presented, write a few snarky comments and end with " those are just IMO, enjoy it to those who purchased " or something like that.

Then the 4 posters who seem to hate anything and everything at QVC and/or proudly proclaim they haven't shopped here in years will comment in agreement.

I've written this before, but that's not how one affects change. There are many ways to say I don't like this, how do others feel?--without using the words "ugly, horrible, trash, etc.".

While there are some who are negative and claim to not watch or buy, there are other posters who join in and claim to love everything that's ever been said and sold on QVC and every single person affiliated with QVC.

I am an outspoken strong personality and can hold my own against at anybody.

I just said he was offensive. There are no excuses to act or say what he did. He has a history of being a problem on the boards.

And, attacking the looks of a female black model was way over the top. There is no way something like that can be overlooked no matter what the source is.

I don't know what you have been watching on TV lately, but there are many choices. You are choosing to watch.

These boards have rules. This is not TV. This is real people commenting about real people. It's real, not acting.

I think that was ME that said I thought he/she was "out of here" because yesterday they wrote they were leaving, which was met with a chorus of "see ya" type responses...

Then,when I signed on today...there he/she was back again!!! On several threads no less!!!

Today I only got to read a few of the posts on each thread before they were poofed....I saw some raw ones ( the FO one) but not the racist ones or some ohers referred to here..

I DO recall thinking of myself and other posters who have gotten the temporary boot for a LOT less that what that poster was writing, which led me to beleive that the mods were asleep, or it WAS a disgruntled, former or current employee, or they just weren't flagged yet.

I will say this.....for all the outrage, foot stomping and lower lips thrust out indignation about that poster, there sure were a LOT of readers and responders to that poster before they were poofed....PAGES and PAGES of responses...

Like a terrible auto accident...everyone wanted to crane thier necks and look!!!!

And these were today's posts after yesterday's outrageous postings...everyone flocked right back to "look"....

So either people were faux "upset" , or they were fascinated by the diatribes and the subsequent responses.

And...they were probably as surprised as I and others that their miserable missives survived as long as they did!!!

I agree with some here who suggested a kid poking fun, or someone just trying to get a rise. There are a LOT of internet boards about QVC, and those postings are not as kind as what we see here....could have motivated someone to bounce over here to start a ruckus.

I remember a crackpottish poster a few years ago ...a woman... who got everyone riled up everytime she posted...her name included either the herb or a variation of it (the herb served with lamb dishes).

Wonder what happened to that fellow/person?!?!?!?

Anyway....If he comes back in any iteration, mark my words.... there will be MORE views and responses than one will find on ANY of the Happy Happy JoyJoy threads!!!

And MOST of them will be the very posters who are HERE harumphing about him!!!

@PamfromCT Well I like your posts! And I agree with you. There were times when I thought about starting a post about something but thought.....nah, for the same reasons you do. I mean, I value differing opinions and all, but all out criticism.....no. So I definitely understand. But I for one, would love to see your Early American painting and crafts. I absolutely LOVE that style. I'm sure I would adore your work. 💖

I agree with you. Dude sounded like a child who keeps pushing a parent's buttons to see how much they can get away with. Well that is my dime store analysis of the situation for the day.

If you read and could remember any of his past posts, you would know he has admitted to being a middle aged white male with physical and mental problems.

He is not a kid. He is having fun playing and manipulating us.

He likes to stir people up and it seems he has been successful.

This is an anonymous board. I am not excusing the Dude. What I said is why are people getting offended by the ramblings of an irrational person. I always consider the source. I do not believe that the Dude is a mature adult. That is what he claims. He could easily be a teen-ager using the message boards to get people riled up.

Yeah he/she definitely needs help. Sad… I didn’t read the racist posts either, but I Believe the posters that said they did.

When he/she was on the board Many months ago they seemed to know things about the Q from way back when (talked about hosts that were long gone) and there were other posters here that gave their input on what they were saying, so that’s why I thought they were for real.

It would actually ease my mind if the poster was just a kid trying to get everyone going.

Time will tell if and when they come back.
