Saying that QVC's "clearance prices" are laughable is spot on. They can't really call the items clearance,  when only a few dollars are taken off the already inflated price. Get a clue QVC management. Try getting out from behind your desks and walk around brick and mortar stores to see what real clearance prices are. You might actually learn something.

I do generally expect prices called "clearance" will be bigger % reductions. It's their store, though, so they can do whatever they want.

But the thing that made me laugh today was that they are still trying to sell off some of those old Luxe Rachel Zoe items--from how many years ago?--and I swear I don't think the clearance price tags have gone down a bit. So silly!

@KaySD  & the leather bags from Bruce M. Has to be 10 yrs. since he's had a show. Also the bags by Matthew Maconnahy's (sp?) wife...think from a decade ago. Why haven't these items been sent to discount outlets instead of collecting dust at the Q warehouse? If no one wanted it for the last 10 yrs., why present it now?

Ha! @Shanus I'd forgotten about the B Mak handbags, which suddenly disappeared after being a huge presence, both at qvc and in stores. I wonder how many other odds and ends are lurking around the warehouses? I used to see some of it in Tuesday Morning shops.

Not everything deteriorates just from being stored, of course, but clothing certainly does, no matter how expensive it was to begin with. Who would want--at any price--a faux fur vest that has spent the last 3-5 years on a shelf already? Getting rid of overpurchased inventory--without cheapening your brand--must be a huge headache for retailers everywhere.

I used to comment about this several years ago! HSN and Evine both have awesome clearances! I rarely shop at the Q nowadays. Nothing new and the. Pitying prices for Logo and Susan Graver are through the roof! Oy! I'll stick with HSN and Isomers on Evine along with Skinn.
