Since Beekman 1802 left Evine for HSN I noticed prices are much higher & gone are the days of "free" shipping.

I checked my Evine receipt  (4 piece Triple Milk Set)  was $19 higher on HSN and s/h fees & I'm going to see if I can find it elsewhere -- considering they are "everywhere" it should be easy!

I am surprised at this decision, HSN and QVC are NOT my go to place to shop for makeup/beauty.

Besides, most of the manufacturers have their own websites, offer the friends and family discounts, offer special free kits and even the major department stores have the free kits.

I love the good stuff...so I get mine at Ebay..great buys..make sure you get top rated sellers..! I get other stuff from Target and CVS..you subscribe and get discounts and free shipping! Target's killing me...Woman Frustrated

I’m a Licensed Esthetician and can say with confidence that there is no better place to buy over-the-counter beauty products than QVC & HSN. They offer the best prices by far! Three Perricone MD products for $199...need I say more? Now, having said that and being a licensed professional, professional beauty products are the way to go!

@cyw_3825, I agree with you if QVC is offering a special configuration kit, they are more often than not the way to go.  But item by item, not so much.  Many of the items can be bought elsewhere for the exact same price plus free s/h.  And there have been instances where the same kits are available on QVC and other retailers and QVC's price is much higher.

It always pays to check out the brand's website. There are good deals to be had on the Tarte, Philosophy, Josie Maran and IT Cosmetics websites.

My daughters, both working Mom's, buy everything from Amazon.  They know I watch QVC and  when I point out things to them they say they don't have the time to watch tv to purchase things.  They prefer to go to amazon, shop, click, and its there in 2 days.  They especially don't understand why I watch them present one item for 10 minutes straight.

Their time is precious.  They both buy their cosmetics from Ulta

I hate paying shipping on each item when I buy multiples of the same thing.  For example, i went to purchase 3 Isaac t shirts and after seeing $3.00 for each in my cart, I cancelled.

QVC should offer free shipping when you spend a certain amount in a transaction. The shipping issue I believe is hurting them, as many don't like paying shipping to get, and shipping to return.  My clothing purchases are down dramatically.

Re: Changes to QVC and HSN PRICES

I have shopped at QVC for almost as long as it has been on air. I very seldom order anything any more. I can not afford it. I have bought more clothing than anything. I love Denim & Co., but it has gotten so expensive. $40, $50, for a top, its too much, even if you have easy pay, you are still paying that price. I am glad I do not like Lo Go, I can not beleive that women pay $62 for a Lo Go tank top, Why? A yard of fabric does not cost that much, $80 for cloth shoes, no leather. As long as people keep buying it, that is how it will keep going. By the time you add tax & shipping you will pay $70 for a Lo Go tank top??? I wish they could have a few brands that are not so expensive.

Everyone is different. I purchase from Amazon frequently, and  am a proud Amazon Prime member.  lol!!

I would never purchase cosmetics from them. Go figure.

I was thinking  the other day that many of us shop Amazon all the time without "seeing a long presentation" of the item(s).   All the theatrics on QVC aren't really necessary in many cases.    I'm disappointed in the merger as far as HSN goes.  I see that the free shipping they offered before is now gone.  Also, been noticing even though I am home most days, I seldom watch QVC more than 10-30 minutes all day.  Before I kept it on many hours a day.  Buying less too.

Actually what I do is when something I desire is presented/listed for sale on QVC, I go directly to a search engine or Amazon to see if they carry the product and the price....many times have given my sale to Amazon due to price, free ship and fast ship since I am a Prime member!  Just ordered Vionic Tide II on Amazon since there is no stock at QVC--prices are about the same but stock is available at Amazon! Most of the cook books they present on QVC are available at Amazon for much better prices and free shipping!

I buy a lot from Amazon but when it comes to electronics, I buy from QVC and HSN because of easy pay. I don't want to pay full price upfront for a computer, camera, or other high-cost item.

@RespectLife  I shop a lot at Amazon, but not for beauty products.  I've ordered nail polish and that's about it for Amazon.  QVC/HSN cannot beat Amazon when it comes to fast delivery, fast refunds, and such a choice of items.  Is there anything that isn't sold at Amazon?   I've bought vitamins, home repair items, garden items, health-related items, cleaning supplies, pet items, etc. etc.  Very disappointed in the QVC/HSN merger.  I think the worst of each channel is coming out.   QVC repeats the same items over and over.  HSN has few items I like now.  Shipping costs have increased at both channels.   Don't get me started about the hosts on both channels.  Easier to shop at Amazon and I have the item within two days.    I guess I need to check into Amazon's offers for beauty items since I really haven't done that.

I still don't think QVC/HSN are going to attract the 20-somethings.  Will they wear Quacker Factory or Denim & Co.?  I think for cosmetics they may want to go to a mall with friends and look around Sephora or Nordstrom.  I'm sure the TV presentations of a TSV bore them.  I don't think they want to order food from QVC or watch demos of Temptations, shears, can openers, and vacuums.   Even I no longer want to watch those items.  So tired of David reviewing colors a dozen times.   Since the "merger" I seldom watch HSN and don't watch QVC nearly as often as I did years ago.
