I have ordered several things on Sept. 1st and 2nd....this is the 8th....my products are still in Hodgkins, IL.  Don't know what kind of facility that is but it needs to be closed or supervisors fired and hired by competent workers that know how to move products.  It has taken 6 or 7 days and they moved from Lancaster to Illinois and nothing about being sent to the customer.....this is exactly why QVC's shipping is  abombable (sp) and everyone complains.  QVC management:  why don't you do something.....$3.00 shipping is still way too expensive  for this kind of service to your customers!

Re: CLOSE DOWN HODGKINS, IL.

I have an item that shipped on August 30, and the only tracking is that it was received by UPS Mail inovations. (sp).  Have no idea where it is or why it is taking so long.  It is Sept. 8th for goodness sakes!

@grooms @Puppy Lips - I ordered an item and it took several days before shipping, but when it reached Hodgkins, it was scanned in and scanned out within 3 hours. Now its in Palatine Illinois.  My delay was leaving QVC facility.  Guess its the luck of the draw.

Close down a UPS facility with over 9,000 employees. Right.... good luck telling QVC they shouldn't use UPS as a shipper and telling UPS they need to shut down.

I agree they have issues there...but beofre throwing the baby out with the bathwater....I think.they just need to keep it and use/build another facility to take up some of the slack.

it is proably a nightmare to work there

Hodgkins is the largest UPS distribution center in the world. I don't think it's going anywhere because a customer can't wait an extra day or two for her package.  When they first started routing the Q packages there, my things stayed up to 5 days, now they're often in and out the same day or two at the most.   This is the new reality in shipping.  It isn't going to get any better.

What I can't understand is why it's taking so long for ordered items to move from "in process" to "shipped."  I have items that have been in process for almost a week.  Once they are shipped they go through Hodgkins, IL where they sit for another two days.

Re: CLOSE DOWN HODGKINS, IL.

I had a package transfer from UPS (why I have NO IDEA, since UPS is in my area several times daily) to the Post Office.  It sat for about 5 days.   How inefficient.

Re: CLOSE DOWN HODGKINS, IL.

I just had to reply to this! I have had two packages recently go through this UPS facility, and one was lost and now I think the second one may be as well. An investigation was launched, supposedly, but the package was never found, and QVC could not replace it. The second package was scanned in 6 days ago, and I am beginning to think of this place as the Hotel California of UPS sorting facilities. You can check out, but you can never leave....

And of course, QVC makes you wait almost 2 weeks after you order an item before they will send you a replacement if it is availalbe. And if it goes the same route, will it happen again?

@grooms   Yes right. Like they are going to fire people and close down a whole facility just because YOU WANT THEM TO....  OK.
