I am a long time customer of QVC.  Since the days of Q Bird or before. !

On Saturday I received a medium size box from the Q.  Things were rattling inside and I couldn't image what was in it. Opened it up to find with no packing material,, 5 items in side.  I looked at the enclosed invoice and they had charged me individual shipping and handling for each item!  There was no handling involved as they were just thrown in a too big box.  At least I got invoice as the past couple of months things were shipped without invoices. For this mess I was charged $20.50 shipping and handling!!!

 

I just talked to customer service and per usual got no where.except"  This is what we doing now.  I can't help you."I have asked to speak to a supervisor who will call me within 4 hours.

 

If this is a new policy they should announce it several times on every show and ship it a safe manner not rattling around in the box.  Hope you noticed that shipping charges are going above $3.50.

 

 I am QVC from my Breezies on upto my forehead and lots of things in between!  I am handicapped with Spinal Stenois .  So don't get out very often for fear of falling.Fell in my home 3 weeks ago broke my hand , cheek bone and have any black eye.

what has happened to this country andI I was looking!  Wait til you try to get your vaccine.  It is hot mess.  Senior citizens are waiting hours in line and when they get to the head of the line they're out of vaccine.  Insntead of fixing this problem they are going ahead and adding new age groups.

 

As you can see I am very upset.

 

Please join me in protesting, peacefully,  and help save QVC from itself.

@Babe3 it rankles when these things happen;I know every time I see a post like yours I recall opening a box from a retailer famous for superb packaging.  In a box big enough for 3 sweaters, some employee had tossed my sweater without so much as one sheet of tissue.

 

 Last time I ever bought anything from that chain that wasn’t already in the store near me.

I guess my question is why aren't all of the customer service reps helpful? The job title should speak for itself.

WIth all due respect, you should have limited your post to what you're unhappy with with re: QVC's shipping charges.

 

By adding your displeasure with Covid vaccines availability, you negate your issue that QVC  DOES has some control over....how they assess shipping charges.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

@Babe3  I am sorry to hear of your frustrations about shipping. Unfortunately it seems to be the norm and depends on who packs the boxes how they arrive?It is cost efficient or Q wouldn't do it. I dont think they care you are a long time, frequent customer. Customers complained about packaging waste for an individual item in a large bag or box. Someone still has to read the order, locate the item and place it in the box and seal it to send. It is Qs game.

 

I find if I really don't need, want the item or feel the price won't be the same I order if not I wait for a Free Ship day. We had one yesterday and a flash free ship half of a day last week. It would be nice if free ship would happen with $49 Or $99 like many on line orders. Many of us are shopping around on line and looking at better shipping deals.

 

I am so sorry to hear of your nasty fall.  I hope you dont live alone like do. I am sure you are feeling totally stressed out and in pain. I have bone loss so don't want to fall either but am able to get out and shop from time to time. I live with ice and snow and wear cleats over my boots.

 

I also hear you on the vaccines. Many getting second shots when those that need them can't get the first one. I dont have a line to even wait in.

 

  1. A train of thought is.... Alot in life is out of our control and one can only control some things in life.

I hope you feel better and it does help to vent on the boards. Let us know if someone gets back to you.

this is the case when they send more than 1 item in a box.  Sorry, but they charge the customer for EACH item s/h fees.

 

This is  the norm.  I ordered a few skorts and they all came packaged in one box - and YES I was charged individual shipping for each.  I also ordered 2 kitchen items - both were in one box and charged each item.

 

Q is in the business to make $$$ and the days of reduced s/h fees for multiple items has been long gone for years.

 

As for your fall - I hope you are doing well.

 

And the vaccine -- my prayers are you get it --

 

Sadly, we are (including me these past weeks)  over stressed and frustrated ... please take care of yourself.

Shipping charges are baked into their business model. End of story.

@Babe3.  This is nothing new.  It has be e n QVCs policy to charge for each item for I'm guessing 5 or 6 years now, however, its unusual to get that many in one shipment.  Perhaps if you order many small things, you might want to look into joining Amazon Prime.   I normally use it an average of 3 times a week and most things will ship free arriving in about 3 days.  I never shop in stores anymore.

The total shipping cost is shown on the order page before you click to place your order.  It's your responsibility to know what your order will cost.  

 

However, I think it's dirty to charge for each item when it's sent all in one box.  This is why I don't order much from Q anymore.  95% of what Q sells can be found elsewhere for lower prices/promo codes, free shipping, and free returns.
