Audience members

[ Edited ]

I was just curious how do you get to be a member of the audience? I would never want to go or anything, but just wondering how someone even gets "asked" to attend?

Also, like I know for sure on HSN they will send out things for people to "test" ... most recently it was the Diane Gilman pants and on the day of the TS she was saying how there were 30 reviews, but only because those people had been sent a pair to "try" out. They didn't become available for sale to the rest of us until the day of the actual TS.

I've never bought anything of Diane Gilman's either, but that's b/c I think she is rather rude and full of herself nor can I really afford her items LOL...well, maybe a TS on flex pay if it was cheap enough, but I actually don't even care for her style(s) anyways. Good thing I guess right? lol

Anyways, I was just thinking about this after I saw a Q show earlier with an audience.  Also, just at work and passing the time. No calls coming in right now. TIA

I have attended a lot of shows at the Q. It used to be that on Mondays at 10am they would release what shows were coming for an audience. Now honestly, I don't know. I know that Angel from Quacker Factory will say they are going to have an audience show. It used to be fun to go. They had a studio store where you could buy things. They had tours too. Now the store and the tours are gone. I haven't been to an audience show since the changes. Hope this helps.

I had been on studio tours & audience many times years ago.  My good friends lived in the area.  Q was a fun day and then hit the Q outlets.  One time we did audience  with Jill I think. This had to be 20+ years ago.

Do you remember when the tour always stopped to show you where the "quality control" area was & the employee demonstrated how they "inspected" the items for "quality"? Guess that department closed because the "Q" for quality is certainly hit or miss lately.

Our audience show was a kitchen show with Bob Bowersox and another with David what fun!!!

The good ole' days!!!!

Thanks for your responses!! It actually sounds like it was a fun time to go there and watch a show. So, it was live right? I'm sure it looked pretty neat "behind the scenes"...I cannot even imagine what it looks like .....I think their sets/studios are really nice and spacious....I bet the Q facility is huge!!

Yes, I remember it all and I have fond memories of those days. I remember one show with Bob that we opened the show. It was Feb 17th and it was our wedding anniversary, and we made a sign that said, "WE came here to celebrate our Anniversary on your anniversary. I went to QF shows. ITKWD, we even went to a gourmet holiday show on Davis birthday and that was when Dave King was still with theQ.  Great times.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page to Tours & Stores it will lead you to "Live Audience Shows".

Currently there are no "in studio live audience" shows scheduled.

Going to QVC.tix.com will get you tickets if there is an upcoming show (Like Beauty Bash).

...and as for HSN sending out things to test - both HSN and QVC have "Influencer" programs.  People are probably getting things that way.

Or maybe it you've bought enough of a product they will randomly send you something in exchange for a review.
