@Regal Bee Definitely a turn off for me too. If it continues at the same pace as this past week for too much longer, I will not receive any emails from the Q.
I would like to think I can check anything out that I want to, without having emails follow me home. ha!

No, I don't get those (from here), but I'd consider that pretty standard for internet shopping.
I've gotten that type of email twice from elsewhere. One let me know there was a price drop on something I'd looked at.

Yes, I've been getting so many that I set me preferences to opt out of those emails. But, they are still keep coming.

yes i have gotten them, and i find them annoying because then i have to take the time to get rid of them.

just some thoughts . . .
- if your browser supports a private window, enable it
- don't be logged into the web site when just searching or viewing items
- if you know about vpn, set it up
- delete cookies, cache and site data, at least once a day
- dedicate one email account just for ordering online and emails from those companies. i call this my junk mail account. no offense. it's just what i call it, as this is a new form of snail mail - junk mail. if done correctly, there is no need to check this email account daily. 1 or 2 times a week max should suffice.
- have another email account just for friends, family and businesses like your bank, doctor, lawyer or whoever is uber important to you.
- use software that lets you view email BEFORE you download it to the email software that you use/your hard drive. you can see the sender, subject and at least part of the body of the email. this way, you can delete emails that you don't want, without having to download it first. some companies also put hidden tracking code/icons at the end of emails, to know when you open/view and email and to track if you click on any of the links in the email. to me that's shady, but some do it. this type of software also works great for spam because you can (over time) select email addresses that aren't spam. and you can view emails from multiple email accounts that you have at the same time with said software.
yes, this can be a bit much at first, but because companies are more into tracking what we do, then doing what they do better, it is becoming more necessary, to have peace of mind.

I’ve been getting them and deleting the, I tried to opt out but it must not have worked. It’s quite spooky!

Yep, I've started receiving them. It goes to my personal email. I first scan the emails and decide which ones I want to read, then I delete the rest unopened. I opened one to see what it was, now I just delete. My personal email is my junk email.

Wow a couple of years ago the Q stopped sending me emails even though I never changed my preferences and even reached out to the moderators about it. After reading this.....umm, never mind. I'm good. I don't need emails ![]()

Although I love QVC, purchase many, many items every month, love the forums, etc., I find it kind of creepy to be notified by email that my actions have been followed, even though I know that is done with "cookies" and is not unusual for an internet company to do. I just don't care to have it pointed out to me; plus, way too many emails now because of that. Twice as many emails than I used to get from them.
Sometimes I am just checking out something another forum poster mentioned about a certain color on an item. I look at it and agree the color would be good in something else I would like to purchase. But then, lo and behold, I get an email that says: "We Saw You Looking......"
I want to continue receiving email notices on things that would be beneficial to me, like sales, easy pays, TSVs, etc., but I do not want to receive emails letting me know that they are monitoring me.
I don't see in the preferences where I can indicate that emails about TSVs, no shipping days, etc., are the only ones I want to receive and not the creepy "we are following everything you are doing on our site" type of emails, even though I know they are doing that as part of their way to know what interests people.....marketing reasons. I understand that.
Am I the only one who is getting a lot of these? Guess it probably depends upon how many times you click on an item just to check out the item, or perhaps you were interested in getting a better look at the model's hairstyle, or any number of other reasons that don't actually mean you are interested in purchasing it.
Hi!!! Yes, I am getting them also. Laura Geller site also does that and it drives me nuts. I love her products but do not but them from her site. They take the money and don't send the product for 2 months. I will only but from Q now. I think we have to accept that every company is watching our every move. I also noticed that a lot of sites you have to disable a ad blocker if you have one. Frustrating because they load you up with these cookies. ARGH!
