Re: Another Rant About Wrong QVC Refunds& PAYPAL Charges

@Lipstickdiva I don't use PayPal for my QVC purchases but when using easy pay I too write in my check register (1 of x pays, 2 of x pays) and I don't have any issues with my easy pay payments. I also have problems with them charging me for the return fee when I pay for my own returns. This recently happened to me 2 times within 1 week.  I called last Friday and told them I returned a jewelry item on my own and to refund the return label fee. I also put the CS on alert that they should be receiving another return in the coming days and I should not be charged for the return fee and asked her to mark my account. Well when they received the return a few days later, you guessed it I was charged for the return label so I had to make yet another call. It's a pain to have to keep doing this but no one is going to look out for my money better than me so I check all returns. It is like they automatically default to the return label.

Re: Another Rant About Wrong QVC Refunds& PAYPAL Charges

[ Edited ]

I have been charged the label fee when I have paid return shipping on my own.

No big deal, I just call and got an immediate credit.  Should it happen, NO.  Should I have to scrutinize my bill?  NO.  But really, QVC corrected instantaneously.

I use EZ pay on every single purchase and have never had a problem.

I do not, however, use paypal any longer.  Previous experience with them (NOT w/ QVC) had so many errors and problems, I would never use them again.  I would agree through my experience, it is a Paypal problem.

How do I return multiple items with one return label?

We want to keep the return process as easy as possible!

You can return as many of the items that arrived together in one box with the one return label you received, and you'll only be charged for one return label fee.

  • To return items from different shipments at one time, you can use one box and one return label as well.
  • To print a replacement return label, go to the Order Status page on QVC.com.

This says items that arrived together will only be charged for one return label fee.

To return items from diff shipments?  It doesn't actually say you will only be CHARGED once return label fee.

Boy,do I hear you on this one. This is the worst year I have had in regards to returns. Not having the breakdown on the packing slip/ invoice for EZ pays amounts and how many we have, is exasperating.

I know one thing I am definitely done buying shoes from the Q. By the time you pay SH to get it and then SH to send it back it's costing me $14 to find out the darn things aren't worth keeping. I got a $.21cent credit today.  Almost laughable. Sure it's easy, but expensive.

As you can tell, I am not a happy camper either. I think it is about time to get back to brick and mortar stores and shop locally.  The push with EZ pays and 6 pays are just getting to be a pain.

@LeenyI totally agree, especially with shoes. I'll watch the Q to see the presentation and the styling, then go right to 6pm, Zappos, or Amazon and get them at a lower price with free shipping and returns. They also need to clarify about the "free exchanges". Of course the exchange is free if the item is still in stock. If the size you need is no longer in stock you'll still be charged. No thanks. Amazon refunds my money as soon as the item is "posted" at the post office-- not once they've received the item--and my exchange is on the way.

I was always under the impression that you cannot return multiple items in one box if they were not sent to you in a single order.

You sent back three items in one box.  one was defective and should not  incur a shipping charge.  The other two would incur shipping charges because they were not defective.

So, if you were charged for returning two items, you would incur two charges.

If you purchase something and use PayPal, they will refund your return shipping charges up to $30 for each return, up to 12 returns a year.  You have to sign up for that perk before you use it on their website.

Looks to me that you tried to save money on returns by packing three items together and it backfired. I don't know what items you returned, but it probably cost QVC more than $6.95 shipping for that box to be returned. How do they figure out how much the free shipping item cost and subtract that from the total they paid for total shipping?

You could have returned all three items sent back separately and and had all of your shipping charges returned to you by PayPal.  It would have cost you nothing.

@Carmie, the mods here have confirmed that you can send back more then one return together even if you didn't receive them together.  The exception is they should all be going to the same return address.  So you can't return housewares with beauty or clothing.

I have returned more then 1 item together that were shipped separately.  You use one return label.  I always mark on the outside of the package that there are 2 items enclosed.  If the return label says $6.95 will be deducted but you items go over that weight, you are charged accordingly. But you should NOT be charged 2 separate $6.95 return fees.

In this instance here, I too would have returned the defective item on it's own.  What difference did it make since the OP wouldn't have been charged for the return label. Then I would have returned the other 2 items together.  It just would have been easier IMO.

Thank you for the clarification. I haven't read the return info for years.  I never had to return much and never more than one item at a time.

i think it wouldn't be confusing to send three items back when one was supposed to be free shipping.  It would take research to figure out how much return postage was due for two items only.  It was probably more than $6.95.

I have sent an item back and did not use QVC's shipping label and they charged me anyway. Had to call CS on that.

Also, I sent returned shoes that were a size nine when I needed a size six.  No free exchange, they were in stock, but somehow my order was processed as just a return. I don't think anyone actually reads the return reasons or checks to see if it is a return or exchange.  Or they just do whatever is easiest for them.

They were purchased on ez pay and I was only refunded a few dollars.  I lost my shipping fees both ways on that. I was so discussed, I just gave up.

i buy very little from QVC.  I just don't trust them like I used to.  They don't seem to care about their customers anymore.

I used to use PAYPAL and I stopped. Don’t trust them at all. Had a lot of problems with them.

@RespectLife if the items are from different shipments you can return in the same box and only be charged one return label fee. I returned some clothes from different shipments and was only charged one label fee. You have to make sure the box doesn't exceed the weight limits for the return fee which mine didn't.

@Love to Run if you return something for an exchange and the size/color you need is not in stock you will not be charged the return shipping fee.

Re: Another Rant About Wrong QVC Refunds& PAYPAL Charges

@DJs mom, I will be calling customer service as soon as I have a chance, because I definitely was charged S/H for an exchange request on an out of stock item. Thanks for the info!

@Love to Run from QVC's website re exchanges:

If the requested exchange is no longer available, including items on waitlist and advance order, QVC will issue a refund and not deduct the Q Return Label fee.

I think if you return many items, you need to shop elsewhere. It does get expensive because you pay the fees of the label and the original shipping charge. These charges are deducted from your easy pay. Therefore, you will have a small refund. I  think you need to keep better track of your purchases.  My experience is different than yours and I know what I bought and track my payments. If QVC was not honest in their dealings, I would imagine that they would be under investigation.

You can contact the Better Business Bureau.  I think people don't like to be held accountable for their own actions. Keep track of your purchases and easy pay. They do list all the easy pays on your account. I have received statements about my account through email but I check my account all the time.

@Elated  While I believe your positive experiences, I have not been so lucky.  The BBB does not do much to help the consumer,. where I live anyway.  On my credit card, the EP charges and also refund amounts are incorrect.  Not MY fault.  This has nothing to do with me not keeping "better track of your purchases", the reaon I found this is because I AM KEEPING TRACK! . What you "imagine" about QVC is not helpful to me.  Thanks for your feedback.
