Another Rant About Wrong QVC Refunds& PAYPAL Charges

[ Edited ]

I, also, want to warn you that QVC is not crediting refunds correctly and if you care about your money,  you may want to check to be sure they aren't charging you for return labels you didn't use or shouldn't be charged for. That's the first problem.

I returned 3 items in one package using a $6.95 label , one was defective and two I didn't like.  I was charged $6.95 twice and that's incorrect, it should have only been one label fee (defective items shouldn't incur S&H charges).  I had to call to get this fixed.  I've had this problem before. They also charge for the labels when you pay your own return postage!

If you're using PAYPAL this may be for you.  I'm totally confounded by this problem and I need to do a little more research, even though I called  QVC CS and although nice, I got no answers.  I've had many small Easy Pays on my last two credit card statements.   I started using Paypal for Qvc purchases in the last few months.  The easy pay dollar amounts on some ot the transactions are definitely not correct, some too high, one too low and one EP is just missing altogether.

The Qvc agent had no answer other than to say it's a Paypal problem,  that Qvc sent them the right information, call them, we have no way to speak with them.  She agreed  that I'm correct about the mischarges. Looking into it even further, I realized it's ONLY with QVC Paypal charges and not other Paypal purchases.  I just called my credit card company and they suggested I call QVC again it that's the case and not let them pass the buck.

I won't use EP ever again (maybe all QVC) and I bet I'm not the only one.  EP has historically been good for QVC profits (or they wouldn't have kept it).  With changes in recent months, there's no EP information whatsoever on the paper receipts, no $ amount and no number of EP installments.. Also your Qvc online accounting info is gone/ drops off every month so you cannot reconcile your credit card  bill with your prior months QVC charges.  You can go all the way back on your Amazon  account. Who has time or wants to go through this?

I'm ready to call corporate. Has anyone ever communicated with QVC above C/S, about all of these issues and mistakes?  I'd love to hear about that.

I don't know if any of this is done intentionality to confuse or cheat their customers, but they sure aren't doing anything to get their act together..

Re: Another Rant About QVC Incorrect Refunds and QVC PAYPAL Charges

Years ago I used easy pay a few times.  The billing was always "hard to follow."  Like they say in small print, you can get two ep billings on one statement depending on the cut-off dates for your credit card. Returns can get complicated too.  All you hear from them now is "easy pay" , "six payments."  No thanks.

I just got the x2 in this billing cycle on my credit card, it isn't an issue for me, but I can see where it might be a problem for some. I like the ease of shopping at the Q, but lately all the back and forth with returns and spending more time than I want to on checking that I'm not being over charged, well it's just not worth it. I just think I'm going to shop more locally again.

@WindingRoad.  I think instead of calling the fox guarding the henhouse (corporate), people who have been stiffed on s&h fees need to file complaints online with the Federal Trade Commission.  Why not complain to a regulatory agency which can see that it gets fixed?

@Kachina624  You're absloutely right, but in my state they're the absolute worst about going after businesses that pay them taxes, and QVC pays taxes here.  I live in a very backwards state.  But I might just try that, thanks for your good observation.

@WindingRoad.  The FTC  is a federal agency, has nothing to do with your state.

I have always felt like easy pay is a shell game.  Especially since there is no real accounting of what you were refunded for by amounts broken down.  How much was monthy pay, tax, shipping, etc.?  It's a mystery.

@WindingRoad

Boy,do I hear you on this one. This is the worst year I have had in regards to returns. Not having the breakdown on the packing slip/ invoice for EZ pays amounts and how many we have, is exasperating.

I know one thing I am definitely done buying shoes from the Q. By the time you pay SH to get it and then SH to send it back it's costing me $14 to find out the darn things aren't worth keeping. I got a $.21cent credit today.  Almost laughable. Sure it's easy, but expensive.

As you can tell, I am not a happy camper either. I think it is about time to get back to brick and mortar stores and shop locally.  The push with EZ pays and 6 pays are just getting to be a pain.

@Leeny  You're so right, especially re: shoes. The other poster said it right too ,EP is just a shell game, especially since QVC removed all means to check threir calculations.  I feel bad for anyone financially needing that EP and then QVC makes errors that cost them even more.  So wrong.
