All of these shows are gimmicks and sell the same old, same old. I stopped looking at generic titled shows a long time ago.

BORING, BORING, BORING!  ENOUGH ENOUGH ENOUGH OF A BAD THING.  What we really need is new, useful and interesting products that appeal to a wide range of viewers.

I'll watch on Thursday night with Mary and Alberti if there is nothing else on. Monday night, no way! Tuesday same.

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

Well said, packers fan! I am 63, newly diagnosed with Rheumatoid and Psoriatic arthritis, have 7 ruptured disc's in my back and have pain every single day. I used to enjoy watching QVC, it was company, (by way of background noise in the house). What the Q is missing, is that not all of us are on a mission to prevent a wrinkle. Some of us don't care if our boobs are pushed up into our chin by the latest 100.00 bra. No one I know wants to smell like a cookie or the latest mooka mooka berry from Uzbekistan after showering. They need to get real with the over 50 crowd! Some useful products might be something like bulk fiber supplements, sold in a 55 gallon drum, or how about ROAR prune juice on auto delivery? Why not do a weekly Bingo for an hour and give prizes to the winners, like denture adhesive, or a coupon for 50.00 off your next ambulance ride? A month's worth of Biofreeze, maybe an ITKWD coffee mug! It's time to get REAL with the over 50 crowd! We want items we can use, like snarky notecards to send to kids and Grandkids that never call or visit, Will and Trust kits, varicose vein cream or a coupon for Captain D's.  Our needs are very different from the current offerings, the last thing we are worried about is whiter dentures!

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

Can someone explain the point of  the “Alive With Possibility” series to me? I don’t understand it at all.

The host is not of “the age of possibility” so I don’t understand why she’s hosting every night. And why does it seem like the gift card she’s giving away is coming from her pocket? I enjoy watching Monifa a lot, but this is not her regular time slot so I’m just confused about why she is the big host of the whole thing.

The set is so stark and uninspired. It seems very cold. Are those speakers in all the corners? Or air purifiers? Or what? There’s no art, no decoration, no warmth. With all the lovely sets the Q has, I’m not sure why this set is so bad and being showcased for all of those primetime hours.

The age of possibility ostensibly was meant for women over fifty— to let them know they are seen and heard. But Alberti, who is under 50, and David both co-star on this show on various nights. I love both of them, as well as Mary, who is also under 50, but just don’t understand their presence here.

I’m truly missing the whole point of this show. Does anyone have any insight into why they are airing and pushing it so hard?

I can imagine some saying, in response to my question about the younger hosts and male hosts on this show, that the Q is all about being inclusive. I am all for inclusivity but don’t understand why we made a big deal about women over fifty, if they weren’t really going to showcase women over fifty.

I love Monifa, Alberti, David and Mary. They are wonderful hosts and have great personalities on-air. I’m not bashing them but really trying to understand the point of this series and their part in it.

Thanks!

At least 90% of the feedback on David's instagram post are very unhappy with this change.

I'm 59 and was a caregiver for my mom until she passed away in July.  My best friend, who is 55, is helping care for her mom, who has early onset Dementia.  Contrary to the annoying Rachel Bosing commercial, we aren't "coming into our power."  There is no Age of Possibility.  It's an "Age of Responsibility," if anything.

Seems like this BS is just some form of therapy for the QVC hosts.  And the hosts who are in that 50+ age range get dumped (Carolyn, Dan) while far, far, far less talented people are brought in (Monifa, lol).

I'm sure we'll get 10 run-ins by Mally per show, with her screaming/shouting/swearing.

In reality, QVC is mocking people over 50.  We aren't "coming into our power" trying to be Supergirl or Superman.  We'd just like some quality products and decent prices.

Stop it with this cloying nonsense, please.

I'm with you.

I was my Dad's caregiver until he passed this last Christmas. I was so honored to be able to help him even though it was challenging sometimes.

This over 50 schtick is so fake. Hosts play it up because it's their job and are being obnoxious while selling the same old, same old.

I still don't understand why this campaign is so controversial for so many.  I'm over 50 and I don't feel insulted, demeaned or any of the other terms I've seen used lately.  I'm sorry so many of you are bothered by this but it's really not something to take personally.

I don't think people are taking this personally. People just find this way of selling products to only a certain age group is a poor way to attract and keep customers buying. Also, Menopause Monday is insulting  for women over 50. What about ED for men over 50. This is very sexist. Again, this is a shopping channel not a life over 50 channel.

Meh, I think you're exactly describing taking things personally.  If this campaign or any other isn't attracting or keeping customers, they would have abandoned it already.  Plan, do, check and adjust.  They haven't done that, so it's working (as the quarterly earnings statement reported).

I don't take it personally. I find it unwatchable. I have no interest in their personal lives, vacations, families, obnoxious behavior, and selling the same old, same old.

We all have opinions and you don't have to agree with them. Maybe this doesn't offend you but that doesn't mean it won't offend others. We don't have a clue what other people's life experiences have been to make them feel on way or another.
