If you watch HSN, they have been going through hosts also. Geoff Cowen left recently and there was a Tracey Kane who lasted less than a year. Two new female hosts, both of whom I recall said they are still living in corporate housing ...don't buy a place till you have that long term contract signed girls!

HSN goes through hosts like people go through underwear.  They have hosts then they are gone.

Now they have Debbie Denman and Michelle Yarn.  I wonder how long they will last.

Didn't Tracey start with Valerie? Valerie is still there.

I thought Geoff was only a temp host for some reason.

I loved that Alex told us behind the scenes was bad. A big reason LR left in 2014 she wanted profits from the GILI line, a huge salary and alot of demands. She quit when she didnt get them. Lisa should have been paid 10 million a year to be honest. Lisa has stated she hasnt watched or bought anything at QVC. QVC could grovel on their knees to Lisa amd she would never be interested..it would cost a fortune to get her back

I don't, if that is true.  I don't think anyone should publicly disparage a former employer.  It seems a little classless.

Exactly. That's a very odd thing to say, especially if she wants another job in the business.

None of us knows what is going on.  I thought it was pretty common knowledge that QVC hired hosts on a probationary period of 6 months.  After that, you were either an official Q host, at which time you are listed on the host page, or you are not.  It used to be they made a big on air to-do giving a new host flowers and announcing they were an official host.

Maybe TPTB talked to Alex endlessly and things weren't improving.  Maybe they saw something in her during her audition that just wasn't coming out on air.  Selling items on air is a lot different than having a teleprompter to read from or doing an already written story.  Most of QVC is off the cuff interaction.

@febe1

I am sure you are right.  Never meant to insinuate anyone has to feel the way I do.  I just can't imagine being talked to by my employer and not making adustments.  But who knows.  We will never know will we and that's fine.  I have moved on and Alex will be fine I am sure

Thank you for posting that heatherhayhey.  I feel the way you do.  Words do matter and I wouldn't blame the hosts for not reading these forums.  It is very hurtful and the people here who think it's appropriate to make hurtful comments, then it says more about them that anything else.  Constructive criticism is one thing.  Hurtful comments are not constructive.

Thank you for this reply. I am too all about constructive criticism but some of the criticism was just down right cruel and mean.  There is a difference betwene saying you don't like someone's selling style or personality and literally ripping them to shreds and making fun of their appearance, etc.  I wish Alex all the best!
