I was just reading QVC Facebook page & it does sound as if Alex is gone. Of course it might be like this thread, all speculation. I didn't care for Alex, But I also have not watched Q in the last few days. Her jr. high language was a turn off for me.

Between all the slang talk from Alex, and the baby voice from Cathy, and then shaky voice Mary Nelson, who is doing all the hiring with new hosts?? Courtney Khondabi is the only host that's the best so far out of the new bunch. 

I didn't think Alex was bad but she just came on way too strong and tried wayyy too hard to be really hip & cool and your BFF.

ITA she is the best of the five new ones. I am still waiting to see the one (Kathy) who is coming back from maternity leave. My opinion may change.

I totally agree with your post.  I though she was great and fun and she did a good job.  I think the vendors she worked with generally liked her.  What surprises me is that QVC must spend a lot of money training these people so I would think they if they had a problem with her presentations they could have talked to her first rather than fire her.  I can't imagine they didn't see this trait in her during training.  In other words she didn't become that way only after her training

Is it possible that they hired more than needed? I remember thinking at the time that 5 was a lot of new hosts to hire at once....but maybe the thinking was all were not expected to make it best the 6 months? That would be a lot of effort and expense though....

Out of the new group Courtney is definitely my favorite. I forget sometimes she is new, which is a pretty good sign. Alex was not my cup of tea, but certainly wish her the best in future endeavors.

I have to ask.  Why do you think it was something to do with her on air style?  She may have had a disagreement with someone.  Maybe another host, management or a behind the scenes person or a guest.

She was not a trainee.  She was a host.  Period.

Maybe Alex quit!  She may have discovered that she did not like her job.  It's possible!  Whatever happened, I do wish her well!
