I can only wish her well.

Wish her the best. In my opinion, QVC has changed and not necessarily better in some ways. Not always the hosts that make me change the channel, but endless hour shows of the same product! I'm hate that and I'm sure the hosts get tired of talking about one product for an hour.
Lisa R.wanst the end all and be all for me. I liked her, but couldn't relate to her lifestyle. Can't afford Madison Avenue!
Anyhow, I wish Albany all the best and hope whatever she does next is what makes her happy.

What ever the reason for her departure, she will do just fine. She's talented and appears willing to take on new challenges. She will go far. I'm rooting for her.
@LUV 2 SHOP, I didn't realize she was a single parent now. I'm not on FB. When did this happen?

I will miss Albany, she made me laugh. I wish a few of the female hosts were the ones that are leaving. A few of them I cannot watch, they are all about themselves. I wish Albany the best and will miss her humor.

@febe1 I agree and she could do just about any kind of show... One of the few holiday shows I watched was her with Valerie Parr Hill and she was easily more pleasant to watch than the usual house and home maven... And I can think of more than three...

So can I...there are some Q hosts who really should not be working as presenters on a TV shopping channel.
I would love to be given the chance to evaluate hosts' performance. When I was giving presentations, audience evals were always a part of my feedback. It is very
important info for the person presenting and the company/employer.

Maybe she'll take Shawn and her goofie black glasses with her! Honestly, what a whack-a-doo look!

Albany was a little much at times for me to take, but I found her funny and she did make me laugh a lot. When she said she was thrown out of finishing school more than once, it made me laugh aloud. I wish her the best, she really seemed to put a lot of energy into her work and seemed pleasant. I preferred her over many other hostesses.
And yes, they have taken her bio down from the site.
The biggest problem with the show hosts is they make everything personal in order to make the sale. You can't have it both ways, either you put yourself out there and take the consequences that go with it or keep the personal stuff where it belongs. All you have to do is listen to the pathetic testimonial phone calls that come in when certain hosts are on. As far as Albany goes, I think she was trying to tone things down lately, but I think she had done too much damage, personally and professionally.

It didn't seem to me that Albany was on that much. I am sure it is a difficult job with a family. I loved her and I hope she is happy in whatever she does. I do hope it is not with LR because I don't feel LR business is going to make it.

Hate to tell you mj57, but I have seen posts on here asking about Shawns glasses, because they want them.

They are evaluated, but it's based on their sales numbers. That's the bottom line.
I agree that there are certain hosts who don't do a good job. But if their numbers are good, they stay. If not, they go. Thousands of people could complain about a particular host, but QVC considers it a job well done if the numbers are high when they're on-air regardless of how irritating or over-the-top they may be.
I very rarely watch anymore, btw. Too many of the hosts are annoying, and QVC has changed in ways that don't appeal to me.
