I think the Affinity line is so over priced. When you read the reviews of most of the items they are not rated very well. What are you paying for??? There is no carat weight in most of the items that they offer and the style is just old. Unfortunately I see better values at JTV... Just sayin'.

That is certainly not true.

Agree. If I'm saving up, spending my hard earned money to treat myself to a diamond anything...I want to know what I'm buying. Affinity is too unknown..what quality, color, etc you are getting.

I will say...back in the day, my mom, in her Q shopping "heyday" bought me a few Affinity items. One is a ring I still love...very striking, set in 14K gold, heart shaped, champagne diamonds. Who knows what kind/quality/color/weight of diamonds are in it...the ring is still very pretty, and the amount of gold substantial.

On the other hand...she also gave me two different sets of "white diamond" Affinity earrings...pave' in huggie hoops, different designs. These look gray, hardly any diamond sparkle to them. One design is prettier than the other...the other is very gray. But I kept them, didn't want to hurt her feelings.

So I wouldn't invest in Affinity now.

Its hard to say if it's over-priced when we know virtually nothing about the quality of the stones since they reveal nothing.  You'd think if they were proud of the line they'd tell all.

I will say this about Affinity some years ago not sure how long I bought an Affinity diamond heart pendant w/chain, and rarely ever take it off. Certainly a piece of jewelry that looks as beautiful as the first time I saw it.

I did notice the pitch that champagne (& presumably chocolate) diamonds are now considered rare. I personally love them, but in reality, they started off as industrial grade diamonds, or very affordable diamonds. I guess any colored diamond could have qualities that made it special, or 'rare,' but still...really?

@sann ...  I have a few pieces of Affinity that I have worn for many many years ...  I don't care about color, grade, weight ...  I just want a beautiful sparkle on my neck, hand or ears and i have not been disappointed with my Affinity ...  they are always getting compliments !!

Glad to see you noticed that also. I started an earlier thread about that lie.

You reminded me...I have an Affinity diamond heart pendant on a chain also, that I bought maybe 13-14 years ago. Both my mom and myself went through an "Affinity" phase. Some were pretty, sparkly, and still look great. Like I said, I still love that heart ring. Other items were less impressive...teeny, tiny diamond chips or dust or whatever the technical term is. They are inconsistent to me, and other diamonds I have are better quality. But I do have some nice pieces from the Affinity line from years past.

I will say like someone else said here...the way QVC markets and hypes it, in lieu of the usual info you'd expect to get from a jeweler when buying diamond items, makes one suspect.
