I have to say though I am watching Shawn and Mally and am thoroughly enjoying the show. They were having a blast with Gary from Denim & Co.

Their laughter is infectioius and making me smile. To each her own. Heart

@DSD2 It was pretty entertaining. Gary was having fun too!

@SharkE  No.  It's QVC's 2-year marketing commitment.  Mary Beth stated this.  That's why she's not a Q50 ambassador, because she told them she was retiring before the two years are up (she's retiring in March).

@Caaareful Shopper I still can't understand why Leah isn't included of all people Woman Frustrated

@Estellee   Leah was asked about it on her Facebook page soon after that Q50 convention in Las Vegas trip.  She stated, "I wasn't asked."  She didn't elaborate or say anything else about it.  That was so strange to me.

At that time, when all the hosts mentioned Age of Possibility in all their shows, Leah was silent about it.  But that has changed and now she mentions it nearly as much as the other hosts (I'm sure management has something to do with that).

Why they still won't include her is really odd.  On the Meet Our Hosts page, all the Q50 hosts have that Q50 graphic on their page.  But still not Leah.

I agree. All the older women schtick is already past it prime. They are crude shows at best, while selling the same old, same old stuff. There is absolutely nothing in them that uplifts or helps older women.

The hosts of these shows prove that they and Q will lower themselves to anythng to make a buck.

Wait until the 50's hosts get to their 60's. The Age of Possibility changes to the age of incontinence, achy joints and saggy skin. So they'd better enjoy it while they can.

Yes, tell me about it. I wake up with stiff hand joints

every morning. Run them under hot water as hot as I

can stand it. Just for them to limber up.

I have mixed feelings about this whole promotion.  It feels like what QVC is trying to do is celebrate their customers and make them feel welcomed and included.  However, I'm not sure that age is the best factor to choose to do that.

It is difficult being over 50 and female in this society, we are often caring for multiple generations while struggling with the normal aging process.  It feels good to have that acknowledged, but on the other hand, a shopping channel is not where I necessarily want to turn for that support.  I already read articles, books, advice columns, talk to friends.

I would rather QVC celebrate me for things relating to shopping.  Congratulations!  You've been a customer for 20 years!  Here's a $20.00 gift card!  I get emails from lots of other retailers saying 'it's been a while, check out this great deal!' or 'we miss you!' or 'celebrate getting the kids off to school with this sale!'. Many retailers email me holiday or birthday greetings.

So while I don't feel insulted per se, I think they missed the mark on this one.  Just my opinion.

As an addendum to my post, QVC emails me when I order saying "Yay!  We received your order!"

Other retailers head their emails with "Thank you for your order!"

Thank you is free and goes a loooong way.  Again, just a thought.

@Denise65, I think many feel the same as you. And rather than QVC spending money on this campaign, I would have liked it if they spent the money on a frequent shopper program.
