I'm not Irish but I enjoy the shows for the most part.  I agree that they need some new merchandise, and it would be lovely to see some jewelry that is made in Ireland that does not scream "I'm IRISH!!!"

Yes - not all Irish made jewelry pieces need to have a shamrock or be Claddagh related.

I'd be happier overall with higher end stuff.  I bought a couple of pieces of pottery years ago by Stephen Pearce and love them - very subtle and modern designs.  No shamrocks.  So quality Irish items that do not necessarily work only for Irish people would be nice.

Well that's 2 days of QVC I won't be watching.  I hate all day jewelry, fashion, gardening and holiday shows.

Re: 31st Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration

I've watched the Irish shows every year, and almost always ordered.  After searching "Ireland" to see what was being offered thus far...I am really disappointed.  They are carrying a jewelry line and a poncho/wrap line that both say "imported", not "Made in Ireland."  There were not that many things that were actually made in Ireland.

Hopefully more authentic items will be added.

Wow, two days of the same stale products we see year after year from Ireland.  The only person I know who gets excited about these shows is Jane Treacy and the authenticity of that is questionable.  This is how they propose to appeal to the younger generation?

They need to dump the Irish shows.

@Kachina624 I cannot watch her anymore.  I get so sick of hearing how she was a Ballerina.   Being a Ballerina takes many many years of training and people don't just stop that are ballerina's and go do sales on a shopping channel.

@BalletBabe   I don't know much about ballet but I've been to a few performances.  Seems to me like Jane is not built like the dancers I've seen who dance professionally.  Is this correct or am I totally wrong?

I get sick of her constant, silly chatter and feigned enthusiasm.

I can't wear wool & I don't need anymore knick knacks. I have a wee bit of Irish in my blood. I found an adorable shamrock scarf on HSN. It was clearance before Christmas. I havea few pot holders & towels I take out for March. My mini flag outside & that's about it. I won't be watching!

Im also questioning whether Jane was a ballerina. She never used to mention it and the last year or two she seems to mention it more.  Weird.  not sure why she would lie over this matter though ?

That is not true. I haven't watched QVC in many years but vividly remember her talking about it.

You are correct about not having the right body type.  If you take Ballet Classes that does not make you a Ballerina.  I agree about the non stop chatter.  You are 100% on track.
