My cat likes to come over to me during the night and tap me on the shoulder so I will lift the covers up so she can climb under them, and then she snuggles up next to the small of my back.

The other night I was dreaming someone got into my house and just then is when my cat decided she wanted under the covers, She tapped me and I bet I looked like a cartoon going straight in the air. I jumped so high, I think I scared her so bad that I took one of her lives! LOL! 

Took me awhile to calm down I scared myself so bad.

@cookinfreak oh no, I'm sorry that you were scared and scared the cat, too. I do know that feeling as my cat also sleeps under the covers and sometimes the timing makes it interesting.

A few days ago, my ring camera at the front door kept going off in the middle of the night. Since it is connected to my Alexa, the alert came thru and woke me up. I didn't see anything or hear anything. Happened 3 more times so not a restful nights sleep! When I got up in the morning, I found that I had left a magazine on the porch and when it flapped in the wind, it triggered the motion sensor.  Stupid me! Now I know.

I wonder how the cat is processing "the event".

@cookinfreak  Your story really made me LAUGH!!!  I'm sorry that was such a frightening experience.  I'm very easily started, so I can appreciate it.  Sorry, but you gave me a BIG LAUGH for the day!!!!!

@cookinfreak   I am sorry, but I did laugh out loud reading your post.  I hope all is well again for you and your kitty.  Talk about dreams, have you seen the commercial for cat litter where all the cats are at a disco dance club and all dressed up and dancing.  Well, one night a few weeks ago I was watching TV in bed and this commercial came on.  I had fallen asleep not too long after seeing that commercial.  I dreamed that I was one of those cats and I had fur, a tail and whiskers.  And yes, I was dancing too!   Now that was a wild dream!
