I am completely in love and admiration for Kerstin and her family! What a blessing to have three beautiful children. Adoption is a wonderful thing. Everyone wins, and it makes the world a better place. Love to all five family members. Thanks, Kerstin, for sharing.

Her family looks so happy and such a joy to see. Such love in their hearts to share with those children who need a Mom and a Dad.

@lafelinevrais@There is a shortage of healthy infants to adopt. Many years ago when I tried it was a ten year waiting list.I could have an older child or a special needs child quickly but I was young and couldn't have my own and wanted to have a healthy baby for my first.I could have adopted from another country but at that time it was expensive and very time consuming.I believe you had to spend three months in China to adopt there.

Did she adopt? David Venable showed a photo.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe if I read her blog correctly...
#1 (girl) adopted
She became pregnant w/#2 child (girl) either during the adoption process of child #1 or soon after the adoption.
#3 child (boy) is adopted.
Not sure if the adopted children were from surrogates. It's been awhile since I read her blog on her adoption process.

I worked with a husband and wife who were both teachers. That being said, we know how little money they make. This couple adopted 3 children from other countries. Each child had a special need. 1 little girl was from China and she walked with a walker and braces on both legs. Very bright little girl. The other 2 had non visible disabilities. Anyway, these people in my eyes are angels and truly amazing. This couple I worked with saved money for many years to be able to adopt. They talked about how expensive it was.
Kerstin does have a beautiful family!!
